Donald Steely, MD - Conway Regional

While in the little room, I was given an EKG by a tech, 2 days after chest surgery. With all the pushing and pulling, the tech pulled off an electrode and took some skin and opened a stitch which started the bleeding. So I'm in pain and bleeding and the Dr comes in and doesn't have a clue until he sees my blood soaked shirt, says we can take care of that and prescribed a double dose per day of Eliquis 5mg. That was Friday. When I woke up Sunday night, I was bleeding to death. That's when the nightmare started.

I've started having issues with my blood pressure and pulse. It's not just once, but several times. I called dr Steely's office to only talk to his nurse. Very rude and passive about my issues. Said I was dehydrated, I told her I get at least 64 ozs, per my gastric sleeve. She said we'll have you seen your pcp. I said no, I wanted to cut out the middle man and have it checked by a cardiologist. She said well you dont seem to have anything wrong that needs to be seen by a cardiologist. Excuse me, but when did blood pressure and racing pulse rate not have something to do with the heart. So sick of getting the run around. I'll either just deal with it, or find another dr. Very disappointing when you need to see a dr and you can't get past the obnoxious nurse!!!

My family had the most awful experience today regarding Dr. Steely's office. My mom was scheduled for a heart cath at Conway Regional. After waiting for 4 hours Dr. steely came in. When asked about what my mom was told by his nurse, that she had several blockages and an aneurysm. He said that the test his office previously ran on my mom would not have shown blockages or an aneurysm. He said he didn't know why she was there or who scheduled her for a heart cath. He never apologized for the gross error his office made. He kept joking about how he didn't need the money because his car was paid for. He wasn't in the least concerned about my mom's health needs. My mom will be getting a new cardiologist.

I wouldn't take my dog there ,the nurses andr are NOT on the same page steely performed a heart procedure on my husband,was given medication then told him not to take the meds,they was making him worse,caused short breath and dizziness then was told the huge knot in groin area was just part of procedure after sitting over in back waiting to see Dr. He was told oh it isn't your heart maybe lungs,he should lose his license for mal practice and bleeding medicare worst doctor EVER Please BEWARE he doesn't care at all

I could not begin to write the amazing way I feel about all the people starting with Dr. Donald Steely & including his staff & hospital personnel as well. I feel I get the best possible care and attention anyone could ask for here. I feel so comfortable with each visit - I would highly recommend their services to anyone and everyone. God bless them all and thank you for the amazing way everyone is so professional without being stuffy or uncaring. You all make the best team ever & I am blessed you are in my life.
