Went into the emergency room this weekend with chest pains and all. Most of the staff was wonderful, with the exception of one gray haired temper tantrum of a nurse. Old lady, gray hair, glasses. I was in serious pain and she made my time there when she was around absolutely miserable, when my mother politely asked if the heart monitor could be rotated slightly so she could see it while waiting in the room, she called my mother crazy. She threw a fit nonstop. For a nurse that is not acceptable. If for some reason I ever have to come back, I will refuse any service from her, as I'd rather die than have someone treat me like complete trash when I'm in severe pain and in a weakened state.

Subject: Urgent: False Accusations Against My Niece and Demand for Apology To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to express my absolute outrage and disgust at the reprehensible actions of your staff members, Amy Pittman and Nurse Shirley. They falsely accused my niece of child abuse while she was at your hospital. After she was taken to the children's hospital, the staff there were appalled by what she endured because of these baseless allegations. This kind of malicious, unfounded accusation against a mother who has done nothing but care for her child is not only a disgrace but also completely unacceptable. It has caused immense emotional distress to my niece and our entire family. Your hospital's conduct in calling CPS and involving detectives without any legitimate cause is reprehensible and speaks volumes about the deep-seated racism and prejudice that plague your institution. We demand a formal apology from both Amy Pittman and Nurse Shirley for the lies they spread and the unnecessary headache and trauma they have put my niece through. Until this apology is issued, we will be forced to take action. We are prepared to start a petition to bring public awareness to this issue and ensure that something concrete is done to hold your hospital accountable for this gross misconduct. Let me be crystal clear: falsely accusing an excellent mother of child abuse is beyond savage and utterly shameful. If you do not take immediate responsibility and issue the apology we demand, know that we will take this fight to every platform available. We expect your prompt response. Sincerely, Jimella Renea Thomas Sherrod

Went into encore emergency room with hot sensation in upper chest and neck shooting pains up my neck tingling and numbness in my face and parts of my head. Sat for 3 hours in the waiting room when asked if the lady at the front desk knew when there would be a room availible and she was very dismissive and you could hear her texts message ringtone going off every few minutes at full volume over my 3 hr wait so I guess she was too preoccupied to care. After getting back into a room I go to explain what has been going on for the past month just so he was aware there were other issues that could possibly be causing a complication and doctor was dismissive and tells me "im the kind of doctor that saves your life i don't usually get answers for long term things like that" so i did not bother to finish telling him the issues over the past month i did not want him to diagnose all my problems nor was i seeking to be medicated... the symptoms i went in for were new as of that morning not ongoing. Then proceeds to give me medication I am already preacribed and had taken 4 hours ago along with an anti inflammatory which is what I had already taken 4 hours prior and was still in the emergency room all i could think was is this a joke? Like i am incappable of taking my own mesication....a chest xray was done along with an ekg and that is all no examination done on my head when that was concern...the doctor comes back in and tells me there is nothing life threatening and these symptoms are usually a symptom of things like lack of sleep, which i am not lacking by the way, stress and the way we are feeling on the inside . I then asked if the tingling in my face and head were of no concern and he said those symptoms were not life threatening. But my symptoms were the same even after his idea of "treatment". I was there to make sure I was not having a some sort of stroke or blood blockage to my head which i was advised by my primary care to visit the ER if symptoms did not subside. I feel like as soon as it was seen the type of medication I am on he immediately linked it to a panic attack which I do not have and have been on the same medication for over 5 years. and I am pretty sure that violates some form of ethics code. A complaint has been filed with the hospital and it will probably go farther then that once I get a PROPER reasoning for my symptoms. I wouldn't recommend going there because of the lack of professionalism and just straight dismissive ignorance from the front desk and doctor...only decent person that was encountered was the gentleman who was in triage. Then to put the icing on all that my paperwork i received through the patient Portal says I was seen for chest pain pins and needles which isn't correct.

Took my son in because of nausea and had not eaten in 5 days. They checked his glucose and it was 122 they said that is normal and than said he had a uti and gave him no meds it is 4 days later and he is eating small amounts but still nauseous. This Dr was terrible never explained anything. And the paperwork they gave us says he had an abnormal ecg but they never mentioned that.

I went to this hospital for bariatric help and had a bariatric sleeve surgery. I had a phenomenal experience from the time I stepped onto the bariatric floor. The lady at the front desk was always helpful and pleasant, Courtney, the dietician was amazing. The nurses were compassionate and helpful and my doctor was thorough, kind, patient and he was great. The nurse always returned my calls. I never had to wait more than 10 minutes to be seen. I had a great experience, but I never used any of the hospital's other areas. I only experienced the bariatric department. If you're considering help with weight loss, I highly recommend this hospital.
