The entire staff has been kind and very nice we enjoyed all interactions with all other staff members: but the attending Dr. was the issue.
Akhil Gade, M.D. was brusque, curt, not very kind to my mother, who was diagnosed with a heart condition over 4 years ago and has avoided the Dr. ever since, but recently began to take her health more seriously. She had been afraid to go see the Dr. about her heart, and as it was her first experience with cardiology she was looking forward to trying treatment and he treats her like she is ill informed and was dismissive and very "matter of fact", it was rude uncaring unprofessional. He did not communicate well and was confused. Our first time in that office (it was new lots of signs and twists little corners and rooms like a maze, and he leads us to a hidden staff member (we couldn't see her), after the already rude visit I guess he could not tell that we cannot see the staff member sitting we got confused by the layout and he rudely exclaims "THAT LADY THERE WILL HELP YOU?!?!?!?" repeatedly without hand gestures he is just using his eyes and neck/head thrusting it toward a lady hidden behind pillars and screens sitting down like we knew where to look, like it should have been obvious, and we were either dumb or blind and like he was tired of our shit. That was mine and my mother's experience coming in to take her to begin treatment for her heart. How upsetting and discouraging do you think that was for her?
please if you ever read this yourself my advice is be kinder. more compassionate, more patient, because that was not a good visit.
For this 1st time visit I would describe Dr. Gade's demeanor as condescending, impatient, arrogant, ungracious, as well as his actions, such as "interrupting," "minimizing" mine and my mothers concerns was the last thing we needed.

I like Dr Kassab. He explains things thoroughly. He is sensitive to my quirks and likes and dislikes. For example, I refused to take a test because of my claustrophobia and he was very understanding of that. He was willing to work around it. He is just a super nice young man.
