Patient Reviews

Patient

Let me start by saying this review is not on the Dr but the support staff. I recently had an MRI of the brain which revealed an aneurysm of my right carotid artery. I called and spoke to Pima Heart staff and requested an appointment with Dr Berman for this issue. The person I spoke to said I chose a great vascular surgeon and I would be happy with my choice. I scheduled an appt with Dr Bermans NP. I went to the office and filled out all the paperwork and gave them my insurance information. After waiting for 20 minutes a young girl about as bright as a burnt out light bulb came out and said that the MRI results had been looked over and Dr Berman does not do carotid aneurysm surgery and that I need to see a neurosurgeon. The girl had to check because she only knew the word neuroscience and not the type of Dr. My wife took off work to go to this appointment with me. I am upset because this is something they could have told me on the phone and saved me the trouble of driving to an appointment that served no purpose. My wife lost hours at work and Pima Heart is not going to reimburse us for that lost time. Now if they try to bill my insurance for this visit I am going to call my insurance and report them for failing to provide the service they billed for. The staff at the front desk was very unprofessional and seemed as if to not care what happened to me. I would recommend you go somewhere else if you want to be treated with dignity and care.

My ultrasound technician was knowledgeable, kind and very professional. In all my experiences with Pima Heart each individual has been compassionate and capable, far exceeding my expectations. Sincerely with all my heart I would recommend my family and friends to be under their care. They have given me so much of the quality of life back and continue to make sure my vascular system is in full working order. I have got alot of love yet to give. Thank you Pima Heart team.

Waiting Nearly Three Months For The Results Of A Test/Scan The absolute worst medical practice that I have ever experienced. Their phone is never answered by a human .You're left on hold for as much as 30 minutes or longer. Rarely allowed to speak to an actual person. You're offered a "Call Back" that never happens. The only way to receive any service is to literally go to their office and confront them. Then they want to schedule a televisit, which if you're not right there when the phone rings they refuse to pickup your return call. You have to go to the office to reschedule, wait for weeks, then when they are late by over an hour and your phone dies waiting for them, you have to start all over again. Stay Away From These "Doctors"!!!

My appointment was scheduled for 1030, for here at 1000, finally got called back at 1050, nurse took vitals, it's now 1130 and still no doctor. I hope my procedure runs a little better than this appointment.

I thought it was illegal to not allow another person in the room if the patient has disabilities. I'm sick of dr offices doing this when they know ada, even with covid, orders that any person with disabilities, another person that is there to assist them may be in the room with the patient. Especially when you are a medical power of attorney.
