Lobby Latte and Banner Shops (don't know why it's plural--just one shop) are conveniently located in the main lobby and are pleasant places for the staff to go for a coffee break or for visitors to have a little respite. I had a delicious horchata at the coffee shop and enjoyed browsing the gift shop. However, a shop in an area like Sun City should also carry handmade items, either purchased outright from the many clubs with talented artisans or through items donated by them. Sun City is called The City of Volunteers, so let its residents have the opportunity to donate unique items made with care! There's something so comforting receiving a handmade card or gift and the patients would so appreciate something like a lap blanket, shawl, a little stuffed animal or a little soft heart to hold in their hand. At least part of the shop should feature heart made treasures like that instead of mass produced items mostly from overseas. It would be a great community relations move too! Some display cases in the lobby, perhaps featuring "Club of the Month" would be interesting for people to look at too since arts and crafts are helpful distractions and they could hold samplings of what is in the shop for those who usually don't visit shops. Why not have some changing art exhibits like the Mayo Clinic does? They even have a Center for Humanities in Medicine since they realize the healing value of art and have copious amounts of it throughout, including changing exhibits.

Recent knee surgery (Monday) then Fri early morning I had have horrible belly pain. I put it off until 2 pm Was there 2 hours . Told triage i am allergic to contrast for ct Nurse took my blood and gave me an iv and a cup for urine. I was filling the cup and noticed my name wasn't on it!!! When I went to give it back to her she was gone. So there I Sat waiting in main lobby with around 30 others to be called . Freezing and stomach pain. Finally got called to go for ct scan Waited in hallway freezing for 20 mins while nurses faught with an elderly patient about laying down to take the picture . That must lasted over 5 mins . They finally gave up and I heard a Dr or nurse say give her 10 more mg of so and so . They took her out and brought me in A male tech laid me on table for ct scan and asked if I ever had iodine I said yes but allergic, I didn't get a shot yet of Benadryl. He looked at papers and said , it's on your papers --why did they bring you here. They wheeled me back to main lobby, I'm in pain , freezing . 35 mins since I been wheeled back from original ct scan attempt, still no Benadryl and no cat scan for my pain Then a nurse calls my name, I walk to the tiny make shift room, she asks if I out the urine cup there and I said yes. She needs to scan my band ...Another nurse was putting an iv in a patient sitting in a chair . I had to almost crawl over this man to have the nurse to scan my band for my urine . (It was close to a hour when I put cup on her table to the time she scanned my band) Then they finally take me back to a room and it was room 20. First nurse that comes in and says hello Jim, you're here for shortness of breath. I said no belly pain. She left and didn't come back a for a while . In fact I don't think I ever saw her again. Finally a pa came in who was super nice and caring. Got things rolling finally . Then about 30 minutes later, the same orderly that took me to ct the 1st time came to wheel me back to CAT scan again, I reminded her I still didn't get my Benadryl. She said they told me you had it and it was on your chart as stat. My wife to replied to the orderly, maybe they gave it to somebody else. This orderly said they probably did. WHAT!!!! She didn't seem to be joking either . Never again will I set foot in this place . It's like a cattle barn in here , just shuffling them around. At least my nurse and the pa I had in room 20 were professional and caring. Someone needs to look at the SOP and be more caring

This hospital is a nightmare. I was moved 3 different times to a different room in the middle of the night. I was put in a room with a dementia patient that talked all night. I got no rest. The only thing positive was the cardiologist and the team in the cath lab. I will never come here again. You need to do better.

My husband had surgery on 8/25/25. Susan was our pre-op nurse and she was very kind, gentle and very caring. Austen was the anesthesiologist and listened to all our concerns and was great. Linda Grove was our operating nurse and she called me during the surgery to update me because it was taking longer than expected per Dr Huang request. Dr Huang did the surgery it was supposed to be an 1 1/2 hours and it ended up being a lot more complicated and took 4 hours. When surgery was over, she came out, showing me pictures of what was done and explaining everything to me. She did not rush and took her time. Nurse David took care of my husband in recovery and he was wonderful too. There was also a volunteer named Jeanne in the surgery waiting area that was very helpful on getting the information that I was asking. I don't have anything negative to say about Banner Boswell. Everyone from arriving to discharge was thoughtful and caring. Thank you to all.

This is the worst hospital I've ever been to. My mother who has dementia was submitted there about an hour before I could get to her, from her care facility. I was not notified of anything during the process and then when I did get there she was in miserable pain. They stated that they had taken her tests and given her some medication but you could tell she was still very uncomfortable and they didn't have pillows or blankets or anything to place under her behind to help her with her tailbone pain. She was also having other pain in her lower back. Her sinuses were stuffed from crying she couldn't breathe through her nose she was trying to breathe through her mouth, struggling to do that because of how dry her mouth was I had to beg for ice so she could suck on something. On top of it all she was supposed to have oxygen, yes they forgot to even give her oxygen and she needs oxygen she has COPD it was right there on her paperwork and when I walked in she had been there an hour and a half without her oxygen. I don't understand how a hospital could be so unprofessional and dangerously understaffed and uncaring. Her dementia makes things worse so she began to pull things out and pull things off of her body and there was no one there to help, she pulled her IV out, I could not get anyone to help me, to keep her from doing it. The whole time I was there for almost three and a half hours, I never once saw a doctor and rarely saw the nurse and felt very bad for the nurse because she was trying her best to keep up. I do not blame the nurse I blame the facility. Too damn cheap to pay for extra help? Get extra nurses on the job in a emergency room? This is a dangerous hospital to even send loved ones too. Then, I left, they stated they were going to probably keep her there for the night, nope, after I left they shuttled her, By herself with strangers back to her care facility at around midnight??? They never notified me or the care facility they were doing this. I have never had such an uncaring unprofessional emergency room hospital experience in my life.
