Patient
While admitted to Boswell Hospital, Dr. Quinn gave me an angiogram for what turned out to have been a panic attack without doing any other cardiac test other than the EKG done in the emergency room. I had a stroke during the angiogram and while still in the procedure room, Dr. Quinn was aware that I couldn't move the left side of my body. These things happen and I didn't think much of it until my new cardiologist requested his report and documents The end of his report for my angiogram noted I was ready for release the same day. It's funny because I was immobile and unconscious for more than one day , he did not call the stroke code. He let me go back to my room where my nurse saw that I was in trouble and called the code. When I saw him at later appointments for an EKG he would not answer my questions but instead would say you need to make an appointment for a consultation. Instead I found a new cardiologist. To say that I could go home and be released was a fire cry from reality.
