Patient Reviews

Dr. Elliott is a wonderful cardiologist. I am an allergy immunology specialist in the Phoenix metropolitan area. Dr. Elliott is a mentor and I owe him a great deal for his willingness to teach and impart knowledge to me and my fellow residents at the time. The reviews below do not reflect Dr. Elliott's treatment of patients in my opinion. He was very nice and compassionate. Dr. Elliott genuinely cares for his patients. When I observed him, most of his patients were greatly appreciative of his efforts. I highly recommend him.

Met Dr. Elliot while in the hospital and have had one follow up so far. Dr. Elliot is very forward, direct and humorous. The staff is absolutely lovely. Happy with everything this far and confident in Dr. Elliot's ability.

I am 38 years old. I went into Dr Elliot because I was told I had a heart murmur. This man was very rude. My EKG came back "abnormal". But he told me he didn't feel concerned about it. I'm a very nervous person and he told me to "chill out". He scheduled a stress echo for me but that's a month away. He was not very nice and not compassionate whatsoever. His nurse is nice and sweet but I'll not go back to him and am now trying to find a new cardiologist.

I've had problems with chest pain, very high resting heart rate, and a lot of difficulty with daily activities - simply doing the dishes or making my bed leads to heart rates in the 140s (and that's taking medications!) Obviously, as a previously very healthy 20 year old, I was really concerned and my life highly impacted. I made an appointment with Dr. Elliott, but couldn't get in for a month and a half. Then days before my appointment they had to reschedule and pushed it out another two weeks. Finally I got to my appointment, at 2:30 for my 2:45 appointment, just to be told I was supposed to be there 30 minutes ago for paperwork. The receptionist was very kind and did her best to help, but Dr. Elliott refused to see us, even after we asked if we could do what we could with the paperwork and fill out any remaining afterwards. The last straw was being handed the paperwork to do at home, and finding it to be only 5-6 pages, the majority of which just needed a signature. The paperwork could easily have been done in the 15 minutes. It was just medical history, demographics, signing consent forms, and release of information. I never even saw the man, but his actions showed a lack of care for patients. Refusing to see someone who is suffering because of routine paperwork is cruel. When I checked my heart rate at home later it was 223bpm. That's totally normal, didn't need his help or anything. Save yourself some time and find a doctor who cares about his patients.

My husband and I went to him a few years and we finally got sick of him saying, come back in 3-4 months, but he didn't act like he was all that interested, but in the ins. money. I finally got sick of it and changed dr. My husband followed. New dr. did all kinds of test and really took things serious. I have had an open heart and a non-invasive heart surgery since. 1. to replace a valve. 2. to repair a valve. This dr. keeps a close eye on me . He is a serious dr., Dr. Gonzales. If it wasn't for Dawn Elliott's nurse he would be in trouble. She runs the office, we called her Dr. I think she knows more than he does. Doctors even wonder how he stays in business. If you want someone who is knowledgeable, go somewhere else. I don't trust him.
