Cardiovascular Institute of Scottsdale: via Scottsdale road Villegas Bernard J MD

Dr. Villagas is an excellent cardiologist. This review takes nothing away from my good opinion of the good doctor who has been treating me for several years. However his practice (CardioVascular Institute) scores very poorly on their willingness to provide services. Although I had an appointment this week that had to be canceled, the next appointment they offered is exactly three moths away (which appears to be their policy if one cancels an appointment for any reason). Nothing I said could get me an earlier appointment. I explained to her that I may be dying. No sympathy ! I asked if I could see someone else in the practice, but according to the Dr's assistant, no other cardiologists would be available in the next three months. When I explained that I would have to go to another practice if I couldn't get an earlier appointment, she didn't appear to care. Sad and disappointed.

Dr Villegas is one of the best!!! he has been and still is treating my father age 87 who had quintuple bypass surgery 20 years ago and still going strong!!! I am now a patient of Dr Villegas and he is AWESOME and works with an Awesome Team!!! You cant be in better hands !!!!

I had my first visit withDr Villegas today. A friend had recommended him so I was happy to find a doctor that she felt was good. He far exceeded my expectations. He was warm and friendly and actually sat and talked to me. He found out about me and my history and was not quick to order a bunch of expensive tests or medication. I feel anyone looking for a good cardiologist, look no further. Thx Dr Villegas.

Dr Bernard Villegas is a very compassionate, understanding physician. He explains your condition in terms and drawings the patient can understand, does not leave until the patient understands fully. Dr Villegas is an expert in his field and has the patient feeling he/she is his only patient.

He is getting old (his words, not mine). If you want a stern lecture on why you should take the medicine that is "suspected" to cause heart problems, he is your guy.
