Our first visit he sent for 10 minutes calling me a liar. I had an ablation done 15 years ago and he said there's no way I had it done up here in Prescott. I was stupid enough to go in a second time and regretted it

This is a great place, if great can be used in the same sentence with the word heart problems! The staff is kind and supportive. They honor and respect our military and go out of their way to help! Dr Patel, is very knowledgeable, compassionate and listens! His sense of humor is so appreciated and his life experience is beyond measure! Matt, his PA, is also very good! I trust this office and staff with my life!

I went to Dr. Patel of. On March 4th for a consultation. A nuclear stress test was ordered for March the 6th. When I arrived. I was taken into to room where the stress test was performed. The woman performing the test, injected me with the nuclear medication, I waited approximately 10 minutes when she returned. I was hooked up with all of the wires and needed equipment and standing on the treadmill when she left the room abruptly. Dr Patel came in approximately 5 minutes later telling me they had to call an ambulance to remove her from the office because of a medical emergency. Come to find out, that was a lie. I was not given a reason as to why only referred to another cardiologist. The office staff are not very nice and unprofessional. Read the other reviews, Dr Patel is not a good doctor.

Worst Dr ever, he is condescending, rude and useless. He had me get tests then tells me what is wrong. I ask how to treat it and he says "I don't have the time or patients to explain it to you. It looks like you need to Google." I went to a real cardiologist and they did their job and helped me. This guy just likes to assume things and judge people. He also hates people with anxiety so steer clear unless you just want to be berated and told to Google.

I went to see Dr. Patel on 8/22/2017 for an irregular heartbeat and slight swelling of feet and ankles, which concerned me. At that time I was on AZOR for high blood pressure which regulated it perfectly for a number of years. This visit included taking blood pressure as well as an EKG. Dr. Patel then ordered blood work to be done at a lab as well as stress test to be performed at his practice. On 8/23/17 he's office called me to inform me that he is sending a new prescription medication to my pharmacy. The pharmacist went over the medication with me since this was a new one for me. When I saw the bottle it had both medication on the label. Azor as well the new one Triamterene - HCTZ 35.5-25mg. Which is a combination of blood pressure as a potent diuretics. The bottle was labeled to take one at AM and one at PM. I question the pharmacist about the two. He then called Dr. Patel to double check this. It was then that Dr. Patel said not to take the Azor only Triamterene - HCTZ 35.5-25mg. That alone could have been a major problem If I would have taken both of the medications. A month later I called his office to let them know that this medication does not agree with me and asked if I can't go back on Azor since I never had any side affects with that. I was told that he does not want me to take Azor and would send something else to the pharmacy. I picked that up on 9/28/17. It was Losartan combination with diuretics. All this time I was unaware of the fact that the blood test performed in August showed a very low Potassium level 2.9 to be exact. I was never told that. I should never have been given anything with a diuretics which would lower the Potassium even more. On 10/5/17 I was admitted to the ER at the Yavapai Hospital with Significant Threat To Live Or Function According To The Doctors Report . My Potassium level at that time was 2.1 which is dangerously low. Why on earth did this Dr. Patel never mention to me that I should be taking a supplement of Potassium when I take anything with diuretics is behind good judgement. I could have had a stroke or worst died. If this is not negligence then I don't know what is. This Dr. Patel should not be allows to practice and put he's patients at risk. I will never go back there and can't recommend Dr Patel to anyone!! This does not even deserve one star
