Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital

I recently had a procedure done at this hospital and was impressed with the doctors and staff. After the procedure, I went to recovery for awhile and then to the overnight recovery for observation for that night. I was very impressed with the staff at the overnight recovery area, especially nurse John Riley. John was very professional, efficient and friendly. I mentioned to him I had some things I needed to do the following day and would like to be released as early as possible the next day. The next day when John started his early morning shift, he told me he would work on getting me out as soon as possible. John kept me informed and said based on the house doctor's visit and my doctor's visit, I should be getting out by 11am and to tell my wife to be there around that time to pick me up. At approximately 10:30am, John came in my room with the release paperwork and we were out the door at 11am. Now I know John is at the mercy of the doctor's and their schedules, but the fact that he tried to coordinate that effort and keep me posted was above and beyond. I want to recognize John for an outstanding job. I also want to recognize Karla, Emily and Joanne for their professionalism and friendly attitude while doing their jobs. All excellent employees.

My sister was there for a valve replacement and the care that was provided was excellent ! Elizabeth Salinas and Chris Taylor at the front desk were especially kind and and helpful to our family in our time of need and I would to express a very special thank you to them and all the staff that cared for my sister! I have been in and out of hospitals since 42 years old, when I had a stroke, and 37, when I had a severe flu shot reaction, so I've had good and bad experiences. This hospital is all good. Great staff, great doctors and such a difference from the other chain hospitals. I had to have an aorta stent put in for clots and had a surprise for the doctor in my pelvis. He fixed a surprise aneurysm and leak in my femoral artery. Likely the basis of my severe anemia. All fixed! All said and done, I was in here 4 times. All were pleasant considering the circumstances. Bypass others and go to Abrazo.

I came in for a simple cardiogram procedure found out. I had four clogged arteries, Dr. Akram Ibrahim recognize the fact that I needed open heart surgery and they checked me for open heart surgery I was told by the doctor that he surprised I'm still , my surgeon, Dr. Merrick Krishner is one of the top bypass surgeons in Arizona and I happy that he was to be my doctor what an amazing blessing After The surgery I was recovering an ICU and Dr Bahdouch Head of the ICU section And boy he ran a tight ship he was full knowledge his bedside demeanor was awesome as well as Dr. Hurley. I've got to say the whole experience here as crappy as it may be having heart surgery was amazing. I owe my life to all these doctors From the bottom of my heart, thank you all.

Deep gratitude and kudos to the PACU team working 11/11/25. I had an incident (my attending nurse stepped away to call for my ride) everyone in my immediate area showed major concern. Ayisha (sp?) and the male head nurse were very quick and attended to my well-being. Even the lady from housekeeping (who was called to clean the floor) went above and beyond by cleaning my shoes. I was overwhelmed by the care I was receiving and how even the staff who didn't get involved showed concern and offered a calming word.
