I really don't like to do this. But this one's deserved. I went to Dr Batres when Tri-City didn't accept my health plan for a couple of years. I must say it was the worst experience I've ever had with a Dr's office. Dr. Batres seems like a good guy, but his office staff is the absolute worst I've ever seen. 3 times a year, I'm scheduled for an in office device check. I'm an early morning person, so I always set my appointments before 8 am. Two times in a row, I drove 15 miles to get to the office, checked in at 7:45, and sat there until 9:15 with no info on the delay. Then I'm told the tech ran out of gas and was running late. I accepted that and waited, although I was very frustrated. I was mad because their delay caused me to miss another appointment I had scheduled. The next in office appointment I had, the same thing happened, except this time I was told the tech had a flat tire! The 3rd time, I'm sitting in the waiting room having the earliest appointment and watching people who just got there go before me. Then, all of a sudden, the tech came out and informed me that the office staff scheduled me for the wrong day. He was the tech for Boston Scientific, not MedTronic, which I have. He told me I'd have to come back tomorrow late in the afternoon. Yeah, that wasn't gonna happen! That was my last appointment there. I never went back. I literally changed insurance to get away from them. The office staff and billing are absolute nightmares! They sent us a bill. My wife paid the bill, put it in the envelope THEY provided, and we get the envelope back from the Post Office as "undeliverable." Now they're threatening to send me to collections. We really don't know what we owe because every time we'd request a statement. They'd literally send us a history of every bill they've ever sent me, from my first visit to the present. You have no clue what's actually been paid or not. I think they do that on purpose to confuse people. Maybe it's just good ole fashioned incompetence. That wouldn't surprise me coming from this office. I also noticed they charged me for things that I've never had to pay for before. Now that I'm back at Tri-City, I once again don't get charged for these things. They're also sending me bills for appointments in which they weren't even my Dr anymore! I transferred back to Tri-City 12/23, and they're still sending me bills through 12/24. If you are a patient, I suggest you watch your bill closely. I've tried to call them for 4 weeks straight, to no avail. No one ever answers their phone. I sat on hold for 30 minutes, as the recording told me I was the "1st caller in the queue", right before another recording comes on telling me to "leave a message", or press to be transferred to the Operator. I press , and it again tells me to leave a message. It's ridiculous and impossible to ever speak to anyone about your account. If you're looking for a cardiologist, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE! There's a lot of good Dr's out there with competent staff. This office isn't one of them. It seems Dr. Batres doesn't care that his staff is incompetent because he's obviously doing nothing about the problem. Read the reviewsn bro!

If you like regularly waiting an hour beyond your appointment time, being double booked and being asked to come in for tests you already completed even after asking them to double check it was needed still you'll love this place. I fired them as my cardiologist today and generally never leave negative reviews but you are a number to this company and they don't have any inclination that they are disrespecting your time. Would not recommend given a cardiologist should be mindful of the stress this causes people.

★★

Poor office management, my mother is kept waiting an hour past her appointments almost every time she has had to go in; doesn't matter if we check in 40mins early. One of her diagnostics test they double booked the technician. She was even forgotten in a room and by the time they noticed it was lunch time and my mother had to go into work. Dr. Batres is very thorough with explaining procedures and diagnosis, had good bedside manner but the poor man seems to always be in such a rush once he leaves the room. I'm seriously considering helping my mom switch cardiologist because of the poor office management. Or is this a more common thing with all specialist?

Absolute horrible experience. The PA i saw told me I had a heart attack in the past based off my ekg reading i had done that day. Naturally this shocked me since I have never felt any heart attack symptoms in my life. Turns out, that wasn't the case. I had my regular cardiologist look over those and they saw nothing....absolutely NO signs of a heart attack. Not sure what kind of people work here, but definitely not a trustworthy PA in my opinion

I had been happy with Dr. Batres' office...until now. His office sent a bill to collections from December 2022; however, I had never received a statement or even a phone call from them, not even to confirm that they had the correct address! Very poor billing practice. I had a follow up scheduled for December, which I canceled. Extremely disappointing, as we have never received a collection notice in our lives.
