Dr. Shah very simply saved my father's life. After an unexpected fainting spell, he went to see a neurologist who ran a gamut of tests and cleared him neurologically. She referred us to Dr. Shah to see if perhaps his fainting spell was heart-related. Dr. Shah was so very thorough, and ran several tests to make sure that my father's heart was in good order. One of the last tests that was run was an abdominal aortic ultrasound. It was then that we discovered that he had a significant aneurysm in his abdominal aorta with a little bubble on it that indicated that it was further compromised and could rupture at any moment. It was a miracle that it hadn't ruptured before she found it, and her instructions to go straight to the emergency room absolutely saved his life. He had a successful surgery to repair it and he is only alive today because of her thoroughness, conscientiousness and expertise. I am not overstating things to tell you that she saved my Dad's life. We are so grateful to her.

Dr Shah is great. (She gets a gold star) The people she has working for her need to get organized. They may think their office staff is on point, but they are seriously lacking. Please... write a note in a file so you know why you call patients. Get billing correct. Stop changing appointments. If you schedule a procedure at a specific time, don't call two days prior & say that is the time the tech leaves the office. Do not make a heart patient wait hours in the office to see the Dr. Respect your patients time. Sadly, this office staff creates high blood pressure. Kudos to whoever hires your staff - they make sure your patients need to return.

The MOST abrasive physician I have ever encountered. She made assumptions, disparaged my current cardiologist and was all around a horrible encounter. She berated me and did not share the results of any tests. After she visited me at the bedside, hospital staff overheard the Doc and came over to apologize. I don't care if she is a great diagnostician, she is abusive. Run, don't walk away from this physician. I left the hospital AMA.

She saved my dad's life! This woman is not only a remarkably talented Dr., but she is an amazing human too who actually took a whole hour after my dad's emergency heart surgery at the hospital to educate us on what we needed to do as a family to help him better manage his new heart disease diagnosis. Thank you Dr. Himal Shah for giving my family so many more years of memories to share along with his 16 grandchildren. I see that some folks have complained about long wait times in order to see her; but I wouldn't mind waiting 12 hours in the lobby. She takes her time with each patient. She is the best.

While I can't argue that she hasn't gone to medical school or that she doesn't know about the heart, I can say that Dr. Shah was very abrasive and rude to my mother. She has absolutely no manners and she seriously made my mother feel bad about her recent diagnosis. She threw out accusations after examining my mom for less than a minute, and did not give any valuable information (she simply repeated what was on the chart). She may be a okay doctor, but she seriously needs to learn how to treat fellow humans with respect.
