Dr. Jon E. Stevenson, MD

Dr. Stevenson is knowledgeable about medicine but not patient's concerns. He is not prepared for office visits (reading results while patient is sitting there instead of him, seemingly not even looked at it before schedule appointment). There is a lack of caring for the "whole" patient and to spend extra time when the problem is perplexing. Patient being switched between specialists and none of them coordinating to wholistically talk the "mystery" through. Quality of life of the patient suffers due to his and other associates at Lifetime Heart & Vascular not seeing the patient as a person. Patient goes to every appointment, scan, and test, and them just told to come back in so many weeks. Wait and see. This is frustrating, depressing, and inappropriate for men and women over 75+ years. If it were their parent, maybe they would give a damn.

Twice now I have had Dr. Stevenson step in to save the day on my behalf. First time was 2011 after receiving a heart valve. I had pneumonia after the surgery and Dr. Stevenson checked in on my condition which was not good. Other doctors and nurses were in the room discussing my situation and Doctor Stevenson told them before they went any further that my lungs needed to be drained or they would not like the results. He was curt about it because he recognized the big problem. I had one lung drained that very same day, and I felt like I might live. The last time was 02/2020 arriving by ambulance and everyone seemed to be unorganized and crazy. I decided to calm myself rather than take on their fear because I did believe I was having a stroke. So guess who steps out to the entry of the ambulance arrival. Dr. Stevenson said, "I know this patient, and will take care of her." When I heard his voice, and his name; I immediately felt relieved." Doctor Stevenson, came over, and introduce himself and told me that he would be taking care of me and what test he would run. And by that time everyone was quiet. It was done expediently. And the news was very good. I actually had Cdiff which was contagious and very concerning. This Doctor came later to check on me with a positive attitude. It made my day.

Doctor was not there for my visit. I had been switched to another doctor without my knowledge or approval. I complained and was given another appointment .. dr stevenson was 2 hours late. He spent 5 minutes with me . This was a followup appointment but he didnt discuss that. He ordered a test without explaining about it and that was it. I have been with him for several years. I will never go back there.

Dr Stevenson and his staff are fantastic. I am made to feel important and special. As a senior this is important. Also they provide superb knowledge and care.
