Horrible experience It saddens me that we are having to change doctors. My husband has been dealing with uncontrolled BP since about August of this year. It goes up in the 190's and 200's. He has had numerous tests and medications and nothing works. You go in thinking you are going to see the doc and surprise you see a PA instead. He told my husband he would take care of him and put in stents. He went today and saw someone he hasn't seen before and basically said there is nothing wrong with him even though his BP was 190 over something when they took it. My husband of course was very upset. The guy told him that him being upset is what was making his BP high. Seriously!!! The worst part is he has lost sight in one of his eyes because his retina tore due to uncontrolled BP. My husband has his own business and we are having to file BK because of him not being able to work. Dr. Shakoor I believe is great doctor but he is now too busy to see his patients! I see it happen a lot. So SAD!! This post is on behalf of James Bell
Dr Shakoor treated my dad with advanced Alzheimer's and was always accommodating to get him in at certain appointment times due to his sun Down syndrome and did his best to have his staff to also support as needed. We moved so unable to stay with him, but my dad was with Dr Shakoor for nearly 5+ years. He's well versed in his field and extremely compassionate. Id strongly recommend him. :)
Went in to get surgery clearance and was told they would clear me. Did an Echocardiogram that they said was not for the surgery and made a follow up with them in March. Well the day prior to surgery they're giving push back because my follow up, the one they scheduled with me, is too far out. They didn't call me to reschedule it or anything, nope they decided to hold up a necessary surgery for me.
