About Dr. Dr. Rajul Patel, MD, FACC, Coronary Artery Disease
Dr. Patel studied medicine at Calcutta Medical College in Calcutta, India, where he earned his medical degree and completed a residency in internal medicine. After relocating to the United States, he completed a second residency in internal medicine at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois, where he also did a fellowship in cardiology and interventional cardiology.
Dr. Patel is highly regarded for both his medical skills and bedside manner. Prior to practicing at Phoenix Heart, he led multiple teams of physicians at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix, where he served as the chief of cardiology and the director of the cardiac catheterization lab.

After several weeks of testing, I met Dr. Patel for less than 10 minutes. How unimpressive! In that time, it was apparent he had not read my file or notes from my background previous visits. He talked over me everytime I tried to ask a question. Up until this appointment, I had very little information regarding my test results as they did not post onto the patient portal as they said they would. I was looking so forward to his input. He seemed more attentive to the fact that my insurance would not cover a CAT scan angiogram. I am hopeful my next appointment with Phoenix Heart and Dr. Kaplan are more fruitful. Dr. Patel needs to learn how to listen first. Talk later. He told me nothing except that he could not help me.
