SEARHC Internal Medicine

After waiting on hold for several minutes, I was connected to someone that sounded like they were half-asleep. I was calling on behalf of a family member that has an ROI on file. The operator told me there was no ROI on file and that they could not help me, but they "helpfully" offered to transfer me over to patient experience. It is incredible how quickly service at this clinic has gone downhill after they were acquired by SEARHC.

I've been a patient of Southeast Medical Clinic for a decade, now. They've been nothing but reliable and wonderful in helping me manage my health through two stages of my life. However, immediately upon being acquired by SEARHC, the quality of care has gone sharply downhill, and just like they've been doing with my AK Native partner for years, they started messing up my medications and making me miss doses of things I really shouldn't be missing. I'm switching doctors now, after that long, because I refuse to be mistreated by SEARHC. The SEARHC staff are cavalier, uncaring, and a stark negative contrast to the way this place used to be run. The care providers themselves are wonderful. But you have to put up with SEARHC's slapdash, unprofessional, slovenly work ethic to get to see them now, or get any help at all. I'm sad about leaving Kelly behind, and I wish her the best coping with what will no doubt be an incredible crapshow in the years to come.

I'm no longer happy there since my nurse for many years Dana Richards left. The receptionist she is always pleasant. But for example I saw a fill in nurse yesterday that seemed to have forgotten to order my prescription for an eye infection. My new nurse is only there part time and not as caring. And their hours of operation make it so inconvenient for working patients like me.

Pretty sad when you go in with breathing issues and they take 3 days to send in your prescriptions and referrals. So frustrated with this whole healthcare system, and especially this clinic's inability to provide care in a timely manner.

Southeast Medical Clinic used to be one of the best medical facilities in town. Something has changed in the last couple of years. It's become a medical facility that does not care for your personal health but only in making money. I was denied continued care because I did not want to take an unnecessary unreasonable medical test that had nothing to do with my issue. I get phone calls to pressure me to make a doctor's appointment even when I am feeling fine without any issues. For example, when you go in, get your problem fixed, that should be the end of it. But they force you to come back a week later for a follow up, even if you're completely better. So you're supposed to get a second doctor's appointment and spend additional $300 just to go in there and tell them you're fine and leave. I should be able to be the one to decide if I need an additional appointment. If the issue or problem is still not resolved I can completely understand them wanting you to come back, but that is not the case. This is unethical. Doctors are supposed to be concerned with their patient's health and only their patients well-being and health. This is a shame and a disgrace that they have become so money hungry. It's all about the money and not about you in the least.
