Alyeska Vascular Surgery

I underwent Total Knee Replacement and the swelling was so bad blisters formed. Got an ultrasound at AK REG and the physician reported no blood clots but the 2 technicians were in hush tones conferring and one stated "the leaf is not closing". Not mentioned in the final report, and it should have been. I went to Alyeska Vascular Surgery and they did an in-depth exam and found my problem was Chronic Venous Insufficiency. Developed Thoracic outlet syndrome and my arm was in a bad state. I was pretty concerned about the medical processes to come and the likelihood of great results. Dr. Steiner and his team at Alyaska Vascular Surgery took on task of correcting it and did an absolutely amazing job! From day one I felt so lucky to have such a great team available here in Anchorage, Alaska. I could not imagine anybody else working on my arm and I felt no stress over whether or not I was in the best hands possible.

We live in Wasilla, was asked to be at office for a procedure at 7am was told its scheduled at 820am, here again it's 940am and still waiting on the surgeon. 3 weeks ago we had appointment at 215pm did not get called back until 338pm

The front office staff, ultrasound tech, and MA were all great. The doctor was not. Not only did I have to see someone other than who I was scheduled with, he was also salty about being stuck at the office instead of in hospital. He did not review any of my previous records (from my referral doctor) and instead reviewed someone else's CT and then shared it with me, clearly violating HIPAA. He did not help at all and I wanted time and money coming to this place for trip, as I had to fly into Anchorage for this appointment. I would have given one star had the other staff not been so stellar. Definitely not planning to return here, regardless.
