Upon arrival for my appointment I quickly checked myself in at the Kiosk, no waiting or lines. I was greeted in a friendly manner upon checking in. I didn't' have to wait long to be called for my procedure. I was treated with respect and was in and out quickly. The professionalism shown was impressive. I was quite satisfied with the treatment I received from the staff at EAMC at 900 Camp Auburn Road.

The nurse, Noelle/Noel, on L&D that was there with me during pre-op, surgery, and recovery was truly an angel. She promised me she'd be there with me the whole way, and she kept that promise. I unfortunately had to have an emergency D&C at roughly 11wks gestation after 2+ years with infertility and it all happened so fast that day, and she was the calm in my storm. The chaplain came to speak to my family and I right before going to the OR, and she was wonderful. Dr Mahram and his surgical team answered every question I had and treated me with an immense amount of respect and compassion. The sweet female nurse and male nurse in the OR were extremely compassionate and supportive. My main nurse, Noelle/Noel and another nurse in post op and recovery stayed by my side the entire time while we struggled to get my pain under control. Both chose to wheel me out to leave and stay with me until the very end, even when one offered to let the other go on break, she still wanted to walk me out. I had a horrible experience months before with a recovery nurse there in outpatient surgery, and this was the complete opposite. I cannot thank each and every one of these people for the way they treated me during such a horribly painful and emotionally devastating time of loss.

I don't like hospitals, but my stay at East Alabama Medical Center on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, was WONDERFUL. It was so great that I wanted to stay another night. Everyone was so helpful, and they communicated very well. From Kish, Teagan, and Skylar, who were the technicians and assistants, to my nurses Caroline and Maddie, everyone was INCREDIBLY AMAZING! I even appreciated how my nurse, Whitney, responded when I asked her what was taking them so long and why patients who arrived after me were being seen ahead of me. She didn't have a clue. Had communicated to me. I would have understood but no one said a mumbling word and I didn't like thataration and intake area, took care of me. I felt safe and supported, and all the staff seemed to genuinely enjoy helping me. The male worker who brought me in a wheelchair and took me to my vehicle was very kind and patient. I tried to tip him, but he said he couldn't accept tips. I THANK EAMC for SUCH A GREAT EXPERIENCE! My only negative experience was that I was told to be at the hospital at 9:15 AM. I arrived at 8:45 AM. I was taken back to Prep at 10:00 AM, and I didn't go in for surgery until after 2:00 PM. The scheduler or my doctor missed that, which is something I didn't like because I felt they took advantage of my time. When I asked Whitney what was taking them so long and why patients who arrived after me were going ahead of me, she didn't have a clue. Had they communicated with me. I would have understood, but no one said a mumbling word, and I didn't like that. Other than that, all is well.

I had my son in August and we had a 10/10 experience. Everyone was so extremely supportive and nice. I don't have 1 negative thing to say about my entire experience. I am so so thankful for each and everyone of the nurses that dealt with me, my baby, & my boyfriend during our entire stay.
