Sitting here in the waiting room since 1:45PM. It is now 4:05 and we have yet to see the physician. One gentleman has been waiting since 10:00AM. Apparently one of the doctors quit and the other doctor is double and triple booked. I recommend all new patients to call and verify how many doctors are currently on staff before scheduling an appointment here. My grandmother has been a patient here for the past 15 years and she has never had an experience this horrible until today. To keep patients waiting for hours is not only inconsiderate, but also bad for business. So disappointed as we sit here and WAIT!

My last appointment was ok although I haven't actually seen my doctor in 2 years. However, getting them to respond is a hopeless task. I am scheduled for surgery in Birmingham and my surgeon requested a release and sent a release for them to sign. I have left repeated voicemails (you never get to speak with a "real" person) confirming that I have not had any chest pains or any other heart related problems since my last appointment 3 months ago. My surgeon's assistant has been trying to get them to respond with no success. I have no idea how to get them to do anything. The first part of THE HIPPOCRATIC OATH says"...First Do No Harm..."". I received a bill for $50 for no show they did not notify me about. They schedule their appointments one(1) year in advance. I went to their office to ask about this bill. I learned today that notifying you of your appointment date and time is merely a "courtesy"; that you are "expected" to keep up with it yourself. Since most of their patients are elderly on fixed incomes a $50 charge is not in their budget and forces them to give up necessities such as food, medication, housing costs etc. I would think that is "doing harm" in contravention of their oath. In addition, I have not seen a physician in 2 years. I have dealt with technicians and nurse practitioners. Since their practice of not giving medical advice or assistance results in a $50 charge; from this point on when I am forced to wait I expect to charge them my hourly attorney rate for out of court services of $500 per hour.

Far too difficult to get meds called in after regular hours. I needed my H/B medication called in on a Friday. Difficulties in reaching the on call nurse.No one called me back. I did not realize the office is closed on that day. However, there should be no problem getting life saving meds. called in to the pharmacy.

The records room was very unprofessional. I called for two weeks to get my records transferred. Only after I said I was coming into the office did I get a call back. And she got MAD and hung up on me. They NEVER answered the phone. You can only talk to an answering machine. And the office personnel, they don't call you back. I need a doctors office that CARES about patients. I did not feel that anyone cared about my needs.

There arent more caring doctors. They sent me to birmingham because of the severity of my condition. I am in the process of going back to them. Petra Lynch should be a board standard of care.
