Great experience with Dr Gallegos! CABG x3 post 8 weeks today. He was a great listener. I went with a list of questions at several pre op appointments and he couldn't have been more patient and understanding. I feel very lucky to have had him and his staff as part of my medical team for the last 6 months. Thank you Dr Gallegos!
Dr. Gallegos did Cabg x4 on me at 43 years old. He was a great surgeon. He coached me through every step and gave me extra attention after surgery. I'm sure my annoying questions got on his nerves but he never made me feel inadequate.. Him and his staff were great and I'm 10 months post surgery and I feel great! I would recommend him to anyone that needs cardiac surgery! I can't thank him enough!
I wouldn't be here to post this if not for Dr. Gallegos! He discussed all my options and explained to me the risks! I had the CABG X4 in January 13, 2025 at Huntsville Hospital. Dr. Gallegos was and still is an amazing doctor! He always makes time to answer my questions! Thank you for being a great doctor!
Whatever you do PLEASE do not have Gallegos operate on anyone you care about. Even with my husband's history of Ventricular Tachycardia, "Dr." Gallegos never thought to discuss the possibility of him developing Atrial Fibrillation as a result of his open heart surgery. My husband coded for 50 minutes due to the AFib aggravating his Ventricular Tachycardia and resulting in cardiac arrest 4 days after his surgery resulting in kidney failure, respiratory failure, and shock liver disease. Instead of trying to do dialysis to assist in clearing the toxins from his blood, "Dr." Gallegos suggested I let him go and I quote "We're doing more to him than we are for him". I, of course, did not take his advise and demanded we do the dialysis. I also requested another cardiologist take over my husband's treatment. My husband's numbers improved. He was extubated, eating, and even doing some physical activity until he went back into AFib, then VT, then eventually Ventricular Fibrillation which took his life. I would have never let my husband have this surgery had the risks been discussed with us in detail. I lost the love of my life all because I trusted this so called doctor. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do not trust "Dr." Gallegos with treating your loved ones or yourself.
