After my first and only visit! Dr Drenning asks me what brought me to his office. After I explained, his remark to me was "not sure you have a problem". It could be a shadow on the test. He didn't really want to know anything else. He told me there were other tests, but if he did the gold standard test, I could die. So, I opted for the MRI. I knew this information would be helpful for a new doctor (which I decided I was going to find after the first 2 minutes of talking to Dr Drenning). I am not a person that runs to the doctor. I will wait weeks to see if I can solve the problem at home. My primary physician understands this about me, and this is why my primary doctor sent me for a heart monitor, and a stress test; and may I add, they both came back with irregularities. I saw the rating and read the post online before coming to see Dr Drenning, but I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt.

He was arrogant & condescending...he kept talking about my defibrillator....I have a pacer/defib but he was uninterested

Dr Drenning recently performed a procedure on my husband. His surgical team was very uncomfortable with him, as soon as he walked into the room, the staff became tense and uncomfortable. He told my husband that there was no reason the procedure should be done, and that it was a waste of his time. He then came to my husband's recovery room to tell us there was absolutely nothing wrong with him, he just had heartburn. He stopped the refills on all his medications, told him to stop everything immediately, and to stop seeing his cardiologist. My husband has dilated cardiomyopathy, along with various other heart issues from COVID complications. I hope someday, Dr Drenning understands how to be a decent human to his staff, and patients.

Dr. Drenning at the Heart Center saw my 80 year old father and was very friendly, thoughtful, empathetic and willing to listen. He ordered all the appropriate test right away. I would definitely recommend him to other patients!

Dismissive of my symptoms, acted like nothing was wrong with me and just told me to get in more salt due to high heart rate. His office never called back to schedule a heart monitor or echocardiogram, and his nurse told me I didn't need a heart monitor since I could "rely" on my Apple Watch to take an EKG (this is the main reason for my 1 star.) *** Update to say that another cardiologist in town took me seriously and I did get my diagnosis. One diagnosis for something I suspected to be wrong with me, and another I had no idea was happening. This cardiologist ran all of the tests and even got me in to do a tilt table test which I desperately needed. I suspect most cardiologists do not want to do this test because it takes up a lot of their time. I am thankful someone else took time out of his day to actually see that something is in fact wrong with me. I am now on a regimen that makes me feel somewhat normal. Never stop advocating for yourself.
