Patient
I was beside myself by the time I left the doctor's office! Aside from waiting almost 45 minutes past my scheduled appointment for obvious over-booking, the appointment was almost a complete disappointment! This doctor was one of the most pompous and condescending individuals I have met, by far! I was told things like, "you're too young for this" to happen (I'm 43 [look up statistics and educate yourself appropriately]) and "I would take you off of some of your medicines, if it was me" mind you I'm on necessary medications for maintenance to keep me well and prevent things like strokes or a heart attack, etc.! I don't think this doctor did more than glance at my chart, if that and was not familiar with my medical history, considering the way he talked to me! He talked to me as if I was one of the most ignorant individuals he's ever came across with no self awareness! I will never see him again and would not recommend him to anyone else! The only reason I give him two stars it's due to the fact I will actually be getting a heart monitor to wear for a week and an Echo ultrasound (to my surprise). I believe he only did this to appease me! He acted like he truly didn't think anything was wrong with me and that my symptoms could be explained away by other symptoms I wasn't even having!!! "This could be gastrointestinal" funny, I wasn't having those issues at that time! "Your supplements could be interacting with your medications" Well, considering I research that before I take them, I highly doubt that! His perspective was that my means of monitoring myself was not adequate! Implying I relied on my smart watch to tell me things were happening...no, I checked to verify, after the fact and confirmed something actually did occur after having felt the symptoms! I was told "oh the sinus rhythm of your heart is normal" even though my resting heart rate was 109! It always has been normal, on every EKG!!! Never showed anything abnormal, but no one can tell me why I have tachycardia and now bradycardia!! No one can tell me why my blood pressure has elevated to stroke level more than one time over... mind you this was several years ago when I was even YOUNGER! Why...WHY do we continue to have these doctors who don't want to actually listen! I was literally interrupted in the middle of my sentence so he could say what HE wanted to say!!! Why do we have these doctors who walk in on an initial visit, uninterested and unbelieving?! Why do we have to protest that we're not making things up or imagining things! Why did I have to basically debate with this doctor to get proper evaluation?!
