On November 19 I had an appointment for a mammogram at 2 o'clock... As I attempted to call to let someone know that I was running late and ask; do I need to reschedule? I was stuck in traffic.... Wherever I was transferred to The phone rang and rang and rang about 20 times And no one answered. So when I finally arrived for my test at 2:08 and checked in, I asked them "is it too late do I need to reschedule?" and they said "no you should be fine. Just go upstairs. "No sooner than I approached the desk upstairs to check in before I could even tell her my name, the door opened and a woman called my name. as I was walking back with her, I tried to explain to her what happened and she said "who did you talk to?" I said "nobody because no one ever picked up the phone...". She mumbled something under her breath as if she did not believe me... And so I went on into the room and asked "may I use the restroom first I drove 30 minutes to get here and my bladder is full and she says "let's just get the test over with first it'll be quick" I said "no I'm not comfortable with that, I'm about to Pee on myself" She then smacked her lips, rolled her eyes and let out of huff and pointed to where the restroom. As I was going down the hallway I turned around and said "you know what, this doesn't feel right I don't need to be put in such a vulnerable position, by someone doing this procedure on my breasts, who has such an attitude. I'm not comfortable, I'm gonna reschedule. As I came out of the bathroomShe yells my name Across the clinic... and says "come on" it'll just be real quick"! I said no you don't get to put your hands on me with an attitude. She rolled her eyes again, as if I was a complete inconvenience to her day I have been getting mammograms for 15 years as my mother is a three time breast cancer survivor, and I have never ever in the history of ever been treated so rudely and disrespectfully by anyone much less someone getting ready to touch my breasts and put me in such a vulnerable position As I walked away when I got downstairs. I stopped at the desk and asked if there was anyone here I could speak to that was in charge of the facility. I spoke to a woman who took my name and number. Listen to what it happened and informed me that this particular Mammogram tech was not the usual person and that the usual person is much kinder and CompassionateAnd gets really good reviews online I was also told that This person's direct supervisor was not in, but that she would let her know my name and number and have her call me. As of this email, It has been 48 hours since the incident and I have not heard from anyone I will never be coming back to the UAB Hoover Mammogram clinic ever again because of this person and I also will be sharing my experience to my 11,000 followers on TikTok and I will also be sharing my experience in a Google review, And anywhere else online I could spread the word of the insensitive rude experience that I had at your Mammogram department Women today have a voice and we get to choose where we go for care. And I will not give this department my business ever again.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. I suddenly became short of breath after my appointment yesterday with my Dr George. My regime had been changed and it made more sense to me to talk with them rather than going to the ER since I'd just been there. However, I wasn't sure if they'd turn me away since it was an emergency. When I walked in the check in staff immediately helped me and asked a nurse to walk me upstairs. The nurse found Dr George's nurse, Tammy, and she was able to help me and my breathing improved immediately with a quick change to the way I was administering my inhaler. I totally expected them to tell me to go to the ER but they didn't. Had they turned me away it could have taken hours or more for us to figure out the problem. I am so very grateful!

Very disappointed in my experience with Dr. Mitchell Pritchett. It's been 6 days since I had blood work and even though I have contacted them, they still have not reached out about my urgent health care needs or to discuss the results. It aslo took 6 months to wait for this appointment. I won't be back.

I made a mistake in choosing this practice for my medical care. I attended my first appointment which was my annual physical on 8/28 and other than a 30-minute wait the visit was ok. Got the labs done and began the wait for lab results and feedback from the doctor on what was important. Now the challenges, in my normal experience of my 62 years on this earth, I'd get a call to review results out of range and access to the results in the patient portal. I waited about a WEEK and no one called nor posted results anywhere that I could retrieve them. I called and left a voice mail and played phone tag for 2 days before speaking to a nurse. The nurse was walking me through the lab results spouting out results of low, high and in range and then we landed on a critical body organ function that was rated as LOW but I was told not to worry. REALLY?? Why would a medical professional think it's ok for a critical body organ function result as LOW and not a need for further discussion? When I asked deeper questions, the nurse pivoted to one of the other lab results vs. providing the functional level of this critical organ. SMH I have a friend that has a LOW test result of this same organ and he's in a battle for his life. BUT my "primary care medical team" told me "Nothing To Worry About" without any medical justification for me not to worry. Would you believe that I never got a functioning level of this critical organ test as of today? I asked the nurse about viewing my labs in the patient portal so that I could review my results, where they landed in the "range" and also compare to my previous 2-3 years annual physicals. I was told that I'd need to contact the front desk to request portal access. What? I reminded the nurse that I had provided my email address needed to complete patient portal sign-up in the original paperwork but was told I'd have to ask the front desk to sign me up. Why would any medical office in 2025 not automatically sign patients up for the convenience of patient portal access? This was on Thursday, 9/4 and I'm STILL WAITING. One of the AH HA moments for me was when the nurse told me that if I wanted more information on my labs that I'd need to schedule a follow-up visit. Two statements here, 1) Why wouldn't a lab review be covered/included in the annual physical visit? 2) I have no issue with paying for a follow-up visit but I need access to the labs so that I can compare to previous physicals but I don't have any lab results so how do I prepare for that visit? In summary, I made a mistake in selecting this practice and at this point simply waiting for them to post my labs so that I can review and be prepared to discuss with the next primary care doctor that I can schedule an appointment with. In my opinion, this doctor's office is going through the motions of primary care without any real "post appointment" patient well care to include access to the patient portal. My biggest concern is that this body organ with this LOW rating was swept under the rug and this is something that I've been tracking for about 4-5 years now. In my opinion, due to the potential seriousness of this organ function, I feel a bit disrespected that the physician either 1) didn't call to discuss this matter or 2) schedule me back in for a deeper discussion. Did I mention that I'm still waiting for patient portal access since 8/28?

Handed the guy at the counter my insurance card. Yall didn't bill it. Y'all billed me. I paid $427 out of pocket for a preventive annual office visit. This should have been FREE WITH MY INSURANCE. I know that UAB is very busy buying up every clinic and hospital in Central Alabama to form their Monopolized Medical Empire, but maybe you guys should focus on the basics first. Such as, correctly billing insurance.
