I saw Dr. Pursley recently for the first time. He was welcoming and very helpful. I appreciated not feeling rushed. He spent the time to ask questions and familiarize himself with my situation. While the wait time is a bit longer than my previous Cardiologist, it is only because he does care enough about his patients to take his time with each one. The office staff and other medical professionals were equally as helpful and kind. Highly recommended!

I saw Dr. Pursley. He is the most condescending medical provider I have ever encountered. I have worked in the medical field for a decade & I wouldn't work for someone who spoke to their patients the way he spoke to me. I explained my symptoms to him in detail. How miserable I felt because of the long episodes of tachycardia. That I was unable to sleep because of the severe night sweats & tachycardia. Some mornings it was hard for me to get out of bed to take my kids to school. That my daily life was impacted. He told me there was no reason I couldn't take my kids to school & that I need to just push through the symptoms. My husband & I are both medically educated enough to know the base line tests that I needed. Pursley said no. His wonderful NP did order them though. He put me on a Beta Blocker & when it tanked my BP, he refused to call in BP meds to raise it. Finally he said to stop the Beta Blocker & just take the BP med. I don't have hypotension without the Beta Blocker, which I need to control my heart rate. Today his office told me I need to see another specialist because it's not a "cardiac issue" but to continue my meds so I don't damage my heart. He has gaslit every symptom & neglected to do his job as a healthcare provider. Shame on him

Dr Pursley is a fantastic Dr and runs a professional and competent heart clinic. He has continually added staff and each person is a true professional including both Tiffany's and the lady with the short hair at the front desk. I highly recommend Dr Pursley to anyone with a heart problem. He saved my life in 2017.

I have experienced nothing but terrific professional care from this office. I am very proactive managing my care. I take my prescribed medications as directed. I follow the doctors directions carefully. I keep track of my blood pressure and document it and take it to the office with me along with any notes from other doctors I am seeing. I prepare a list of questions for the cardiologist of any cardiac or blood pressure issues I have. This makes for a very productive office visit. I have only high praise for Dr. Pursley and I feel grateful to have him providing my care. He has always been very nice and respectful to me. I think he is first class cardiologist and you would be lucky to get him. I have been in heart units in Florence Decatur huntsville Kansas city and vandy Nashville. Dr. Pursley is every bit as good as these facilities .

First was told it was my responsibility to know my co-pay even though I had been to this office 2 previous times & my info had not changed. I was told if they had to look up every one's copay it would take all day. My appointment was 9:45. At 10:35 the nurse practitioner (NP) came in, nice man. He told me yes it was a conversation w/ Dr that was needed. He did offer to get the Dr. At this point it's obvious the Dr was busy and rather wait or have him pulled away from what was a busy moment I opted to reschedule. My issue can wait. Then it got ugly. As I go to reschedule I asked if my co-pay could be used for a future appt. The phone rang I stepped outside to see if my husband was there to pick me up. When I came back in I told the young lady I was not trying to be difficult so if it's easier to use the co-pay on a new appointment as I didn't see the doctor I'm good with that. I need to get to work anyway. That's when Dr. Puresly came from the hall to tell me LOUDLY that I WAS being difficult , it had been months since they had seen me and directed the young lady to give my money back! I am terribly disappointed he was so nice and personable in our previous appointment. The lecture on how I am responsible for knowing my own co-pay was actually incorrect, none of my other doctors ask me they only ask how I wish to pay. Maybe he should know that his staff is lazy, that is part of the job. The last visits were not like this at all. For the record,I was respectful, polite, and very calm. No temper tantrum or raised voice on my part. May be he was having a bad, we all have them. But this a business of caring for people and I was treated as if I were His child not a grown woman who was there for HIS professional opinion..That genuinely didn't mind to reschedule and tried to ease his schedule. So thought I should explain my review because he did not give me the opportunity. Now I'm looking for a Cardiologist.
