I feel his valve procedure saved his life. When he came to see Dr Ahmed he needed a wheelchair to get in the building. In our follow up today he was running to catch an uber! Hard to believe. Fantastic experience from the procedure to the aftercare.

I had a procedure called an alcohol septal ablation with Dr. Ahmed and his team at UAB. There was a muscle around my heart, and in the middle of my heart that was enlarged and not letting blood pass through causing a lot of of symptoms. And then I fainted. This was at 80 years old. We were sent by our doctor for an opinion on this with Dr. Ahmed and after discussing different options we went with a procedure called alcohol septal ablation to try and burn away that tissue to correct the situation. Before the procedure, I could not get dressed without shortness of breath. And now I'm here for my follow up, and I just went to the iron ball and was able to exert myself without any problems whatsoever, and I am back on the elliptical machine. I also want to make a special mention to Dr. Ali who was very attentive to me after the procedure and taking care of me afterwards, he went way above and beyond.

Dr Ahmed did my valve surgery. yeah before I got this done I was feeling not in shape I could not feel the pulse in my neck and I had to really feel hard I was also having symptoms in my feet whether there was not a good pulse. Surprisingly I was not symptomatic as everyone expected. I was found to have a severe valve disease. I actually thought I had very little symptoms but then after the valve replacement which was done for a very severely tight valve I felt a great pulse, much more energy, The main difference is when I exert it's so much better. circulation has improved significantly also

I came to see Dr Ahmed after having heart problems for years, I was a nurse and I had to stay at home and had to retire early. I live in Florida and went to see Dr Ahmed on recommendation due to his reputation. I was to the point where I was getting exhausted and feeling like I was going to pass out. After my heart surgery I feel like new. I am 70 and I feel like I am 40 And able to do the things I enjoyed doing again. Such as gardening and my grandkids.
