I recently had robotic surgery performed by Dr. Clifford Lewis to repair a leaking mitral valve and an ablation to hopefully correct Afib and a heart murmur. Dr. Lewis met with my husband and me in his office before surgery and went over everything. I knew exactly what to expect during surgery and after. He was extremely thorough in his conversation with us. While the surgery is rough, the recovery is swift. Scarring is minimal. I have no murmur and no Afib. Dr. Lewis has a wonderful office staff, and they were kind and helpful all the way through the process. I am so thankful to Dr. Lewis for fixing my heart problems. He is an excellent surgeon, and I would strongly recommend him to anyone.
Dr. Lewis did a robotic mitral valve repair on me in early 2019. I was very calm and relaxed going into the surgery because of several recommendations I received regarding him including from my cardiologist and another UAB cardiologist. It went well and he did a great job. If I need any other work in his specialty, I would go back to him without hesitation. I highly recommend him.
