I wish I read the reviews before I went in to the ER. This place is the worst. I should have left when the woman and man at the desk decided their conversation was more important than checking me in
(This seems to be a running theme based on other reviews). I was in pretty quickly, but it soon became obvious this was going to be a "let's do as little as possible" situation. I never saw a doctor, just an assortment of nurses and a PA. I had tons of abnormal numbers on my labs, none of them explained to me. Then I was sent on my way with a "referral" to GI who could not see me for 2 weeks. Why when I call my former doctor's office, they want me in immediately to be seen? I provided Froedert with my doctor's information, my records information from UW Hospital in Madison. They didn't bother to check anything or get any information on my condition so they could understand hoe to treat me. What a joke of a place.

Spent 4 hrs in the ED for my daughter and never called back to see a doctor. Never any updates. People that came in after us called back and left hours before. Finally after 4 hrs went to the desk and said we are leaving and the receptionist says, oh ok. Never asked for a name. Just an oh ok?!? Sorry for the wait?!? I understand it can be busy but 4 hrs with no updates and an oh ok when we say we are leaving is so unacceptable. We were not the only ones that left without being seen. And by reading other reviews this place needs to change. A rating of 2.3 for any place is horrible. Apparently they haven't changed anything to make it better. You may not have thought my daughter's issue was a big deal or very important but to her it was. Couldn't be more disappointed. Not the first time I've seen horrible service here.
One time told my son who had surgery and kept passing out and ask for a bed, told him they had no bed to just lay on the floor. Also took a drug seeker before him just to get her out of there. Words from the ED nurse.

I understand the shortage of staff in Healthcare, but sitting in your ER for over 5 hours waiting to be seen and told that me and my daughter need to have patience as they only have 4 rooms. 4 rooms in a Emergency Department is completely crazy and un acceptable. A elderly lady with leukemia was sitting since 7am and finally got taken back at 1:30 and the loud mouth nurse broke every HIPPA violation there was! Never will anyone I know go to that hospital again!! Plus your staff is RUDE! And I'm in the health care field and I have never!

My mom was brought in to the ER by ambulance for stroke like symptoms. This is not her first (possible) stroke. She has had a confirmed stroke a few years ago. I'd like to mention my mom is also a nurse who works for froedtert. A nurse with 20+ years of experience.
A few issues...
-The doctor who treated her did not know this was her 3rd stroke until my mom mentioned it to him...
They also tried putting a tape on her she is allergic too and they weren't aware she was allergic to it-meaning nobody read her chart. Completely un acceptable!
-The blonde curly haired nurse in the ICU was upset our family was in visiting my mom. She told my mom "can I just give you your phone so your family can leave and you can just text them how you're doing". 1. My mom was in no shape or form to be able to go on her phone. She could barely speak, keep her eyes open, and one side of her body was temporarily paralyzed. 2. We her family who doesn't know what the outcome could be, what if she didn't make it?
-They had no toilet paper in the room for her to use the toilet in her room next to her bed. So she was stuck using paper towel. And yes just a toilet, she had no private bathroom.
-My mom returned a week later with stroke like symptoms again, they told her to sit down in the waiting room and wait to be seen....someone with stroke like symptoms needs IMMEDIATE care. I do not trust this hospital and the ER staff are rude.
Yes she already asked for a complaint number when they called to check in on her and ask her how her experience was.

This was such an incredible experience. I felt like everyone truly cared about me and listened to what I said. They were the most kind and compassionate providers and treated me beyond my expectations. I am truly grateful for all of the doctors, clinical and supportive staff there
