The staff here treat their patients horribly. I had one good doctor that was understanding of my symptoms. I cried because of all the symptoms I had and they said they're going to get security. After being overwhelmed! There's no understanding of chronic illness/pain that can take a toll on a person.
I am disgusted with how Essentia treats their patients. I was miss diagnosed and still charged with a $5000 bill and sent to collections. The fact that this company values profit over actually helping people in need is the reason I will not be returning
I've never been here before so I checked in on the computer but had to ask where to go to wait for my appointment. The receptionist was friendly and knowledgeable.
March 12, 2024. I went to see Dr. O to have my Nexaplon removed, safe to say she did NOT take the precautions she should've! My Nexaplon was stuck in my arm and my nerves had grown around the implant, due to a different dr. At essentia putting it in too low. So when Dr. O was having difficulties removing it instead of surgically removing it like she was supposed to she just full force ripped it out along with my nerve. And gave me severe nerve damage in my arm to where I had to be hospitalized at st. Luke's. And of course I wasn't warned abt the pain I was gonna have I was pretty much told that "I'll feel a little tingling sensation and numbness" which was NOT the case!! It took me a year to fully recover. My experience at essentia just shows they don't care abt their patients they just care abt our money!!
This is the worst healthcare facility I have been to in my life. They don't allow you to get the healthcare you need when you need it, and their greed is abundantly obvious. They clearly overwork their staff and don't help their patients. I've lived in 6 different states, and I've never had to fight so hard to get appointments before. If you want to be treated like a child who is not capable of making their own healthcare decisions, this is the place to go.
