I ended up in the er approx 8 a.m 10-30-25. After approx 60 min in waiting room I was taken back. Once back I was immediately attended to. Some info had already been gathered when I was in the waiting room. I was very sick, turns out I had sepsis. The Dr saw me within 15 min of being in er room. Within an hr it was determined I'd be admitted. Unfortunately there were no rooms available. Through out the day I would hear- there's movement, people are being discharged, should not be too much longer, etc. At 6p.m. a regular hospital bed was brought into my er room. I was told I'd be spending the night there. I was not happy!!! Other than not having a private bathroom, it was just fine. Turns out it was quieter there than the regular floor. Had I been told from the start there was a possibility I'd remain in the er, but I'd have a bed, not a gurney, I would have relaxed more throughout the day. Finally at 2p.m. on Friday I was moved to a regular room. Once again excellent care & attention. I had an issue with a lab worker that was taken very seriously by a supervisor. I was there 3 nights & overall only have positive things to say. I was really sick & the cause was found quickly. The doctors, PA, radiology dept. & nurses kept me informed. They definitely need more rooms available. All the employees I spoke with said waiting in er overnight is getting to be the norm. I know eventually the former behavioral health floor will be renovated for more rooms. Some staff mentioned the hospital as it is built was supposed to be sufficient for 10yrs. If so, that was poor planning. I've been a patient at St. Nicholas & now Aurora. I would never go back to St. Nick.

Have been to this hospital for surgical procedures and critical stay. Each time the staff have been efficient, kind and respectful of me and my husband as a visitor. I cannot say enough good things about my experiences. I have been prioritized by nursing and CNA staff which required both to stay past their shift end time in order to ensure my recovery was monitored by them vs 'in patient' staff that were very busy. During my in patient stay, even cleaning staff were kind. I was kept up to date on all matters well in advance of actions taking place and was made to feel comfortable and important.

I went to the emergency room last evening. I was apprehensive not my favorite place and I lack patience...I do my best . . I brought a very good book which helped tremendously. My Nurses , doc, X-ray tech and receptionist were all great , very respectful, attentive and empathetic. What I appreciated the most was after X-rays my rn stuck her head in and gave me a time span . I felt valued . That is vital care In my opinion. I was sent home with everything I needed . Let me tell ya that air cast game changer. Thank you Aurora . You've disappointed in the past but redeemed last evening.

The worst care I've ever received from any doctor ever. This includes the nurses and the people on staff that call back or message back. They don't know the difference between anti-inflammatory drugs or muscle relaxing drugs and I literally almost died from what they prescribed. They did internal audits and claim that they looked into what the health provider did and found no fault. I'm glad I won the 50/50 coin flip on my life and I will never be going back here unless I am unconscious and/or dragged here against my will. They came closer to killing me than anyone has ever come. Absolutely screw this place.

It's taken me a year to write this review after my dad passed in October 2024. AMC Sheboygan has some of the best doctors, nurses and CNA's in healthcare. They took exceptional care of my dad when his very stubborn self needed it the most. They kept him clean, well fed, laughing and I'm the best spirits possible when he was facing another amputation and end of life decisions. The staff also got me an extra beside table so that I could work and still take care of my dad. The high quality of care is what made his end of life so much easier to handle. I owe a big thank you to the ER and patient floors that cared for my dad.
