Brought my daughter there for help with ADHD, doctor felt she had it, asked for forms. We had them to Mayo the next day. Everyday we call and no one's reviewed the forms, meanwhile my daughter suffers. We went to Marshfield Peds out of frustration, they got her in and were very nice, but now Mayo won't fax the forms after multiple requests including a request from her Marshfield doctor. Mayo is rude on the phone and I have no idea if any doctor is aware of this problem as all I reach is phone clerks and portal nurses. I guess I'll get new forms and have the teachers fill them out again, costing my daughter days.

Not impressed after not being able to get a response back from anyone. So took the next step going outside of facilities for a Second Opinion and when I called a few months later to follow up with a problem. I was told Mayo Cardiology had Discharged me months ago. Never, Not once did I say I was transferring care I had requested a second opinion trying to get to the source of the problem. Confirmed my suspicions with request of second opinion now it has been a senseless battle with Mayo to get on the same page. Hopefully this is a fair warning to anyone who requests a second opinion. Please be cautious. Your life is valuable, but some hold it as a liability.

My 78-year-old husband has received thorough, careful, compassionate care. He has been seen and evaluated by multiple specialists - cardio, vascular, neurology, pulmonary. We have been so happy with his treatment. Every single person we have encountered, from his doctors to the cafeteria staff when he was admitted for surgery, has been friendly, compassionate and interested in helping. These individuals see my husband as a person, and they are genuinely focused on his needs. We are so fortunate that he has received this level of care.

Let's start with clarity here. This hospital system is "Mayo" in name only. It really is a hospital group called Luther and was bought out. It's is not world class. I wouldt put up against a public hospital in an urban area. I would trust them with my cat. It's substandard. The doctors are passive and not advocating for their patients health. The nurses are rude and and dismissive. The administration is more concerned about their "feelings" then the quality of care afforded to their patients . Today for example , I was told by a nurse that my wife's doctor wouldn't talk to me unless we were both in the same room. Well, that's weird because I have a full medical proxy and the fact is I've been along for the ride with my terminal wife for a year as " Faux Mayo" has fumbled her care over and over again. It's insulting. At the end of the day I can not wait to get my wife out of that place. And as to you, if your reading this and you have serious health concerns, go to the UW in Madison or to Minneapolis for real quality care. These folks, they know not what they do. Consider yourself warmed.

Kristine and I just had our first baby, we were and still are very excited for life to come. As a first time father I was really nervous. I never had a father growing up, and I didn't get really nervous until I realized I had no idea how to be a good dad. I wanted my little Kiana to have a good father! Thanks to the support of the nurses who were watching over my little family it helped reduce the anxiety building up. The nurses that helped us have my upmost respect and gratitude. They put up with the million of questions we had and were extremely helpful and informative! Thank you for everything and thank you for being a part of my new little family.
