My experience for OB services and my labor & delivery was AMAZING. I had an emergency c-section and was taken care of so well by Dr. Carmona, the surgical team, and my team of nurses. I originally was supposed to give birth in Canton, but because of an emergency situation I had to go to my closest hospital which was Weirton. My experience from intake to discharge was so great if there is another baby in my future I will be going to Weirton for all of my pregnancy/delivery needs. I also talked to medical billing today (I've heard they are hard to deal with) and I had a great experience with them as well. No long wait time, all my questions were answered, bills were explained, and payment was taken with no issue and I was off the phone in 10 minutes. Great experience across the board

this hospital is absolutely TERRIBLE. If I could give negative stars I would. My daughter has a temp of 103 and was up all night with a croupy cough. She Couldn't catch her breath to where I gave her the inhaler multiple times. Like more than the recommended dose because I didn't know what else to do. Went to the ER, they told me "it's just a cold" and push fluids and she'll be fine. If you think I'm paying 300 dollars for a dose of ibuprofen you're out of your mind. They didn't even put us in a room with a bed. I had to sit with my daughter on my lap in a metal chair for 2.5 hours. FOR NOTHING. The doctor didn't even listen to a word I was saying probably because he couldn't hear me to begin with. I fought with him that this is not right and he still discharged me and said there is nothing they can do. I will NEVER be back there again. Couldn't even hear me talking then you definitely couldn't hear the fact that my daughter 100% has croup and needs a steroid for the inflammation. Save yourself the copay and go to UPMC.

If I could give this emergency room zero stars, I absolutely would. I can definitely say it was the worst care I've ever received. I've never been to this hospital before this, so for starters the receptionist yelled at me upon arrival for entering through the wrong door. There were no rooms available, so after being triaged, we sat in the waiting room the whole time. During triage, the nurse asked my fiance "how he hangs out with me, because I'm no fun" when answering "no" to the use of drug/alcohol questions. Then, I was misdiagnosed, arriving for a possible foot fracture and leaving with the diagnosis of an "ankle sprain," when there is nothing wrong with my ankle and I stated that many times. I also was looked at cross eyed by the PA when I said I couldn't put weight onto that foot. Overall, the absolute worst experience and after following up with my PCP, their feedback also confirms this review. I never plan to receive care here again.

Last night on a mental breakdown I chose to go to Steubenville. That was horrible. So I just want to express my appreciation for Weirton Medical Center. You guys treated me with COMPASSION, understanding and so many more emotions that I am grateful for. Thanks for your kindness. Trinity was freaking scary actually kinda traumatizing. Thank you Weirton. Thank you medical center, EMS and police. And hopefully I'll never have to thank the Fire Department but I'll give them a shout out. There has been many times since I became a refugee from Steubenville that I thought differently about Weirton, but apparently that was my ignorance. Someone build a wall blocking that bridge. At least so I can never go back there again. Thank you Weirton!
