My mother has been a patient since November. She has severe blockage in her neck. She has had to wait through dizzy spells, passing out, pain, twitching all to just be prescribed a blood thinner. She has been advised that she will need surgery to fix the blockage. She spent a day in the ER yesterday due to half her body going numb. Signs of stroke right? Hospital said mini stroke (which is often sign of an upcoming stroke). She and I have both called today numerous times and left VM. My mother has ONLY been prescribed blood thinners and is still having to wait! Meanwhile, blood flow to her brain is being constricted more and more. A simple call back or answer the dang phone would be outstanding service at this point.
