Dr. Jennifer McDonald, Internist

I have seen a couple of different doctors at Hudson's Bay medical group, but have had nothing but good interactions with Jennifer McDonald. I can see how she comes off a bit cold but I think it is because she is focused and gives her attention to providing a thorough exam. She took the time to explain to me the reasons my cholesterol medication was not medically necessary, however left the ultimate decision as to whether to continue to take them or not up to me. Also when I was diagnosed with cancer she took the time to call me and check in on me during my hospital visit and gave me her personal cell phone number. I notice a previous review referring to Dr McDonald as an intern, and I wonder if they were confused with her title as internist....perhaps that influenced that review. I personally would highly recommend her.

I have been coming to Hudson's Bay Medical for years with a different doctor and have loved it here (and still do). Front desk is also super awesome and helpful! BUT I met with Dr. McDonald once and she was absolutely horrific. Never have I felt more unheard and rushed by a doctor in my life. She almost seemed annoyed right when she walked in the room? Also 100% invalidated me in terms of the symptoms I was experiencing. Do not schedule with this doctor, lol I really hope she's retiring soon.

She was extremely rude and disrespectful to myself and her MA. She made me wait and then rushed through my exam. I absolutely wouldn't recommend this Dr and will never see her again. If i could give her zero stars I totally would

Hudson's Bay Medical Group has been a great place of service to me. My primary care Dr. Grayson has shown great compassion and care in working with my other doctors to form a plan for my future health. Intern McDonald however may have provided me with the worst overall experience I have encountered in my history of dealing with doctors. Dr. Grayson was unavailable due to being out for a few weeks. I contacted Hudson's Bay in an effort to be seen by another Dr in the practice to discuss an issue I was having. I arrived for my appointment a few minutes early and was greeted nicely as usual at Hudson's Bay. I was taken back and had my weight and vitals checked by a gracious lady who eventually offered me water due to the Dr I was there to see running behind. Eventually I met the intern who was appointed to provide care to me on this day. Intern Jennifer McDonald acted almost immediately disinterested in assisting me and left the room after I described to her my initial reason for my visit. I was told before she exited that she wasn't equipped to handle my health and would need to make a phone call. After a few moments she returned to the room without even shutting the door all the way she informed me that she had contacted another medical institution and advised me to head to that location immediately. This was a complete waste of my time and the complete opposite of what I had experienced when working with Dr. Grayson. I was thankful to learn that she was only an Intern and it is my hope that Hudson's bay understands that this Intern simply doesn't fit the high standard precious set by Dr. Grayson. If anything this Intern set me back in my quest for continuous efforts to improve my health and left me shaken and confused by this. I will continue to recommend Hudson's Bay Medical Group per the great care I have received from Dr. Grayson, However I cannot strongly enough recommend that no one see Intern McDonald.

OMG ... I just wrote a long post and it was deleted! This is the Doctor Who should never have practiced medicine. She overdosed my Mother on diarrheal's and antidiarrheals .... then when the ambulance came to take her to the hospital, as she was having a bronchial asthmatic attack, despite the objections of the paramedics, she overdosed my Mother on her asthma meds. My Mom had ended up having a grand mal seizure and a stroke.... This is when I fired her! It was written all over her chart that they were never to contact Jennifer McDonald again. Luckily, once at the hospital, my Mom made a full recovery. I have been in CT an US and in medicine for 48 years. I have work from good Sam hospital in Portland to Seattle to San Francisco and taught at the University of Albuquerque. In all that time I have never ever met a doctor like this. It makes me sick that my Mother had to go through this in order for me to convince her that this woman was a hack. I truly hope that anyone who reads this heeds my advice ..... DO NOT SEE THIIS WOMAN! She is absolutely the worst physician I have ever met, professionally or otherwise.
