Patient
I first came into contact with Dr. Ward in 1988. He was on duty at Tac. Gen. Hosp. My father had had a stroke. Dr. Ward was the Dr. on the floor. He came to speak to my sister and myself. No one could have been kinder. He didn't even expect us to stand up; but he squatted down to talk to us. His compassion impressed both my sister and myself. My second experience with Dr. Ward was in 1995. I'd had an incident involving my heart. I'd seen another cardialogist who told me to go home, that I was wearing my bra to tight. My uncle who was Dr. Ward's patient, said "GET IN TO SEE WARD"! I did, two days later. He listened to my heart and said, "I hear something, not quite right." Two more days and I was at TG undergoing tests. Then the angiogram. Dr. Ward said you have two choices: there's a good doctor on the floor you can have your by-pass surgery, now, or you can stay in the hospital and have your surgery Monday." But, you're not going home. How's that for a great Doctor. He listens and knows his stuff and makes decisions without a doubt. Dr. Ward has given me 20 years of life. Thank the Lord for this Doctor.
