I have been going to this office for 24 years. I have always gotten top notch care from Dr. Girolami and Cheryl Allen. I am sad to see Cheryl move back east but look forward to meeting her replacement.

Update on 6/26/23: the practice read my review and fired me as a patient because it was "untrue" and forwarded it to their lawyer. So here are details, all of which I can prove: - The doctor missed my diabetes diagnosis for a full year, despite repeated lab results and an existing diagnosis of pre-diabetes. I had to ask to see an endocrinologist on *two* separate occasions before she provided a referral. I don't know for sure that she did this to retain patients, but it is well within my rights to speculate. - The doctor made judgmental remarks when I asked for an STD test, despite me never having tested positive for an STI. - In May 2020, when there 20,000 COVID deaths in NYC and 30,000 deaths in Italy, she said that COVID was "just like SARS" and blamed poor healthcare for the deaths. She said she was opposed to the county's social distancing mandates and encouraged her family to ignore them. I then told a different healthcare provider about this when it happened, who was appalled. --- Old review: I've been going to this practice for 9 years, and the quality of care has really degraded, especially over the past 5 years. The practice is also waaaay less busy than it used to be. Every single time I go in, I kick myself for not having switched doctors years ago. I get the distinct impression that Dr. Girolami is becoming more concerned about the number of patients she is losing, so is more and more reluctant to refer people to specialists. If I could give this practice 0 stars, I would.

Dr Girolami is an excellent, straightforward, knows-her-stuff physician! She's always on top of the most recent research and medical trends, yet is kind, grounded, and always approachable. Her care and referrals when we needed them have been Tops. My family is so grateful for her care!

5 stars isn't enough. Best of the best. Dr.Girolami is like a superhero. She always manages to fit me into her busy schedule (office is always full when I go) and there is never a wait. She listens, she answers questions. She is proactive with her care. She understands that no one has a lot of time and makes the most of every second! I will bring up anything and everything. I've had 4 referrals from her, all were excellent. Love her! She's no-nonsense, no drama and no stress.

Not an internal medicine doctor, more of a "pills and botox" dr. according to posters on the walls. I went to her before starting college for ongoing issues with anxiety and gut problems. When I told her I was having panic attacks, she immediately prescribed an antidepressant that caused more issues and made everything worse. In my opinion, GPs should not be prescribing psychiatric medications, especially when a patient is in as much distress as I was. The office staff was also unhelpful and rude. I had to have a form filled out to medically withdraw from school because the anxiety had gotten so bad. I faxed the document over (as requested) and did not hear back for 2 weeks. Dr. Girolami made me come by in-person to fill it out and subsequently berated me for being "a young person just like her 14-year-old daughter who just pushes a button and expects things to work". As a doctor who is supposed to help patients become healthier, she only made me feel worse and set my treatment back months until I could find better care.
