Patient
My first wellness visit with Dr. Alexandra Styhl was disappointing. It appears that Swedish has adopted practices that prioritize making money over the patient care. It become apparaent, that during a wellness visit, patients are not allowed to discuss existing conditions or express current health concerns because the visit is classified strictly as a preventive "screening" for potential new issues, not for managing ongoing problems. If a patient wishes to address existing conditions, the PCP can convert the visit into a "combined" appointment and bill it separately--resulting in additional charges. Unfortunately, this approach makes the experience feel financially driven rather than focused on patient wellbeing. Even the wellness exam and associated lab orders were not thorough enough to meaningfully identify new concerns. As a result, none of my existing health issues were addressed or resolved, and no medication refills were provided without scheduling yet another appointment. Overall, it's not about patients and their wellbeing it's all about making money for the practice.
