Lake Serene Clinic: Western Washington Medical Group

Extremely disappointed in the care my newborn son received at this clinic. This office should never have accepted a newborn as a patient, as it was completely unprepared to care for even routine newborn care. The number of mistakes made in one visit makes me fear for the safety of any patient cared for here. The provider and nurses were unfamiliar with s common and basic occurrence and misinterpreted it as a possible allergy or injury. At check-in, the front desk staff incorrectly told me there was an issue with my insurance (there wasn't) and made multiple inappropriate personal comments about my recovery and my baby. The medical assistant made a serious error weighing my newborn--moving the scale onto an uneven surface and then failing to recalibrate it. This led to a grossly inaccurate weight and an unnecessary referral to Seattle Children's, where his weight was five ounces higher just four hours later. The provider also incorrectly diagnosed another problem (that was not present). The provider did not offer bilirubin testing in clinic or help arrange it appropriately. If an office is going to see newborns, this needs to be available. We were sent to Children's in Everett without being told they didn't even open until 4 PM. There was no anticipatory guidance provided, and no postpartum depression screening offered--both standard parts of newborn care. To make matters worse, the receptionist touched my newborn's head without asking or sanitizing her hands. This is unacceptable in any healthcare setting, let alone with a 4 day old infant. We were ultimately sent to urgent care unnecessarily during flu season, which disrupted our early breastfeeding and made an already challenging postpartum day far worse. When I tried to raise these issues with the clinic, it took five weeks to even get a call back. When I finally returned that call, the staff refused to transfer me to the manager and instead gave me a confusing story about my appointments being canceled (which I had already canceled myself). I never received an apology or acknowledgment of the many serious errors that occurred. This experience left me with zero confidence in this clinic's ability to provide competent or compassionate care. I would not recommend this office to anyone, especially families with newborns.

I have been going to Lake Serene Clinic for the past 2 years and I've loved it. It is easy to make an appointment and be seen within the same day if necessary. I am almost always able to see my PCP, Bridget. Bridget is a great listener and very helpful. She has great insight and suggestions. I love that they have some evening hours so that it is easy to go to the doctor after work. I've also seen Sejal when Bridget was not available and she was also so kind and comforting. I felt very at ease with her. Maya at the front desk also has an amazing attitude and personality. She is so very helpful. Love, love, love this small clinic that has a comfortable, family feel!

Silver Lake Location; Being honest I am satisfied with clinic, but 3 out of 5 visits have been canceled and rescheduled by my provider. Have been feeling that I need to find a new provider. Even my 6 month appt has been rescheduled which is coming up in January 26, we'll see how it goes!

Have been going to this amazing clinic for over 6 years. I have seen 3 providers here 2 of them are amazing. Just felt not helped as much by the male practitioner. Andrea has been a great listener, amazing to work with, felt very confident and comfortable, and her medical assistant has always been great. I hope they continue many years to come.

I have been a client at Lake Serene clinic since 1990 it was founded by Greg Lind, since then, Joshua Webb took the clinic over and I have been a client with him as well. I find that Josh's attention to detail and his knowledge In the medical field is as good as it gets and Is spot on If not better than Greg Lind's the founder of the clinic, I would not go anyplace else. Western Washington medical group is one of the best in the Pacific Northwest, and I refer clients. Here to this clinic and to any part of Western Washington medical group all the time, I highly recommend them. They have several clinics and medical offices. Around the local area here in the PNW your wait time to get an appointment to see a specialist is next to nothing. Unlike many other medical organizations that have all gone corporate and have lost a personal touch and attention that you will receive with Western Washington medical group, you will not be disappointed.
