Patient
been waiting a WHOLE year to be seen by Dr. Lucy at their Lakewood location, and I vocalized many times to this place I can only go to their Lakewood location, and that I have severe sexual trauma (from doctors) and will not feel comfortable seeing a male doctor or staff of any kind. They just called me today, after waiting a WHOLE ENTIRE 12 MONTHS, because Dr. Lucy cancelled on me LAST MINUTE, I was literally planning to see her this Friday. I thought I was finally going to get the help I need and some answers for once. They wanted me to see a male doctor instead. Granted, they just wanted me to be seen sooner but with what I've been thru and have vocalized to them in the past many times, that I will not be comfortable with seeing a male doctor, for much valid reasons. So they schedule me out to wait even ANOTHER month, to see Dr. Lucy. The receptionist of whoever was rescheduling my appointments was rude and inconsiderate. She didn't have an ounce of empathy towards my situation or why I would be so angered about all this. I had been to the St. Clare's emergency room many times and have been checked out by paramedics numerous times for these ongoing heart problems because they mimic symptoms of heart attack and / or stroke. Left arm pain, chest pain, heart rate bouncing around from as low as 70 to as high as 150, within the matter of seconds, it is at a different heart rate, high blood pressure as well, and having spells and episodes where I feel nearly faint and unresponsive, and the ER had ran tests and EKG's on me for everything to come back as "normal" when you can clearly tell from looking at the monitor screen, that NONE OF THIS IS NORMAL. I feel that my needs are not being met, I am not being listened to, and if something bad were to happen to me during this time frame of having to wait unfairly longer, this is ALL their fault, because they would not listen or help me. I know that doctors have things that come up, but Dr. Lucy knew very well I was waiting a whole year to be seen. This isn't okay to be putting patients thru this, and I'm certain this will definitely cause them more problems down the line because they aren't being able to get seen any sooner. Sadly with having Medicaid, this was one of my only options but I deserve better. The patients deserve better. This whole medical system our country has is jacked and needs to be fixed... I'm only 23 years old and I want to be able to live my life without having to worry about my heart problems so much. I will only update this review when shown better. This is all from the facts of what has happened. Don't come here though if you are able to, and are in need of being seen sooner and actually taken seriously. Update: Dr. Lucy Lin is straight up telling me that a heart rate of 205bpm is normal, this is ridiculous and it's common knowledge that's abnormal. Don't go here if you want to be taken seriously, especially if you're a young woman like me.
