Had to visit her to receive cardiology approval for a surgery. Her and the cardiology dept really put me through the ringer with tests and lack of follow up. She put me on medication with no direction or communication, the nurse just said Dr. Mehta called in a 30 day Rx for you. Turns out it conflicted with a med I was already taking. When I finally got in contact with her she told me to just take that med until I had yet ANOTHER test. Wrong! Turns out it's a beta blocker that my surgeon told me I gad to be weaned off. She also wanted me to have an INVASIVE test even though I have no angina and again was just trying to have life saving surgery. I finally went to another cardiologist through Overlake. I told myself if he had concerns I would just stick with Mehta. Nope, he looked at all my info and signed off in one visit. But after surgery, I still had to deal with Mehta to get off that med. This was another fiasco that required several portal messages and phone calls. I'm 30+ days post op now. Mehta never once inquired how I finally got cardiology approval. Take from that what you will. I'm happy to be done with her and the whole cardiology team.
