About Dr. Virginia Mason Franciscan Health Medical Pavilion - Edmonds

At Virginia Mason Edmonds Medical Center, we empower people to live healthy lives. That's why we focus on health education and preventive medicine, in addition to comprehensive, compassionate medical care. We provide care for the whole family, offering pediatric, adult, obstetrical and geriatric medicine. Primary care appointments are available five days a week, and we offer urgent care through our walk-in clinic six days a week (closed on Sunday). We also offer laboratory testing, diagnostic screenings, occupational medicine and much more. Our caring team members enjoy building relationships with our patients, who are of all ages and come from a variety of backgrounds.

The staff were professional and kind. When I wasn't sure about my appointment time, I called and the front desk answered right away and helped me clearly. On the day of my visit, the wait time was good -- I was seen almost immediately. Both the staff and nurse were very caring, and Tania was especially professional. She asked about my symptoms, explained the reasons and treatment clearly, and answered all my questions patiently. I really appreciated the quality of care I received.

(I never post reviews-but I want to warn others) I made an appointment in August, for October 6th. They called in September and rescheduled for October 21st which I was happy to do (what's a few weeks anyway?). Today, I went in and got called back to my appointment. The lady was condescending about why I was there, and made sure I knew I wouldn't get surgery that day. Not to prepare me for my appointment, but out of confusion; "you know you won't get the surgery today, right?"...which I obviously knew. I understand how the medical system works...and expected a consultation/order of labs which is what I told her. I felt so dumb for even being there. It was obvious they had no idea why they were meeting with me. She told me they were not prepared/did not read a note (my referral!) of what I needed and scheduled me wrong. I sat there and cried while she rescheduled me. I now am waiting until February to have this appointment. Incredibly disappointed. Incredibly defeated. 20 years of pain, 4 times trying to move through the medical world for a diagnosis for severe pelvic pain. I did my research to prepare for a best appointment possible, they didn't do ANY research and let me down. I did my job, I expected them to do theirs. For a clinic who claims to be top of its game in the gynecology world..it didn't seem like they cared at all. Women already have to try hard to be heard in the medical world, do better. Edit: by looking at these reviews, there is a consistent issue with customer service and organization. I've read all over the reviews that they are rude, dismissive, disorganized, and unapologetic, a lot of what I experienced. While they did reschedule me for sooner, and I appreciate that, I already can't wait to never go back. Every response to these reviews by the company is a copy/paste template saying what they're supposed to say. It's not impressive or professional. It's amateur.

I can never get thru to the front desk to make an appointment. I've left my number at their request for a call back and never got a call back. My doctor is terrible about filling my prescriptions. My doctor doesn't check important things such as my heart, thyroid, or lymph nodes when I have well checks. I have type 2 diabetes and I've never been checked for nerve damage, and a lot of other medical concerns that need to be checked regularly with this disease.

"Walk In Clinic" is horrible. My son with a serious asthma issue waited for an hour in a mostly empty waiting room. Then put in a room for 45 minutes and basically ignored. If he had passed out or had a serious incident nobody would have known!! When this was a standalone clinic it was a place I would recommend. Virginia Mason has ruined it. Understaffed by people who don't care. Horrible.
