This cardiac surgeon was chosen by me for his exceptionally low post surgical complication and infection rate. Some surgeons do as many surgeries a day as they can hurry through. They let other people open and close the chest while they race to the next patient. He is not one of those in it for the money. He was there for the whole surgery. Think thats not important? Then understand that during the close up of the chest, that's a critical time of checking and rechecking for bleeding or other problems. Some surgeons use techniques that are for speed instead of lowering complications. Again, that's not how Dr Reid operates. Pun intended. He probably makes 1/4 of what some surgeons make because he takes his time. Do you want to be reopened after surgery? No way. Once is enough. As a nurse, I asked the cardiac nurses who would they let operate on them. Everyone of them said either Dr Reid or his partner Dr. King. Hands down. So I chose him and was very glad I did. Wouldn't be here to write this without him. And his staff was exceptional as well.
