Seema Chaudhary, MD

I've been working with Dr. Chaudhary and NOVA Physician Wellness Center over the past couple of months and have lost 20 pounds while not always following the diet as well as I should be. The information is helpful that they share but more than anything it is a nice ability to have accountability and support that is covered by my health insurance. They give an appetite suppressant that is helpful and doesn't have large side effects, for me. Everyone at the Center is incredibly kind, answers any questions and is very supportive. It's working and I never feel shamed for my weight but rather supported that this is a journey and a process as I work towards more of a lifestyle change.

Keep in mind, I had only one visit but having said that, I thought she was professional, took the time to explain (in detail) my symptoms. Referred me to a cardiologist and ordered blood work. She was pleasant, professional, knowledgeable and I felt comfortable talking with her. I would definitely go back to her!

It is a pleasure to work with Dr. Chaudhary. Her kind and encouraging words at each visit have helped me to lose over 50 pounds to date. Look forward to continuing to work with Dr. Chaudhary and receiving her life changing guidance.

NoVA Physicians Wellness is helping me get lean again. I appreciate that the wait time is short, the staff is professional, and that this system is working. The check-ins keep me motivated, and the tweaking of the plan, as we go along, is helping. It's been a real eye-opener to re-discover (and re-establish) how healthy eating habits make me feel and look. I'll continue until my goal is achieved. Thank you.

I was a brand-new patient of Dr. Seema Chaudhary. I went through the process like all other new patients to her practice to begin he weight loss program. I went to the Tysons VA location. At this point in my life I knew it was time to address my weight. I wanted to work with a doctor that really cared about me and wanted to help me. I really thought Dr. Chaudhary was that doctor! My experience was very disappointing specifically with Dr. Chaudhary and her staff. My concerns were about the lack of professionalism and the lack of communication for my treatment plan from Dr. Chaudhary. Dr Chaudhary submitted a prescription that was super expensive, and it was not in the treatment plan we discussed. I tried to call and email Dr. Chaudhary for a return call to discuss this prescription before our next appointment thinking that she would amenable and would be willing to work through any confusion and help me. It was a week since my initial message for a return call before she reached back out to me and when she did, she was VERY annoyed and told me we can discuss at my next appointment. She was VERY dismissive and indifferent when I expressed the reason why I was trying to reach her and my confusion. I have to say that I was incredibly surprised and very disappointed in her reaction. She was not amenable to resolving anything and really reacted in a way like she was firing me as patient because I expressed a valid concern with her! NOVA Physician Wellness was a referral to me through another health entity. I would encourage anyone who is considering NOVA Physician Wellness to evaluate other physicians and weight loss programs BEFORE considering and getting involved with them. Dr Chaudhary's demeanor is one that does not reflect professionalism and the caring and attentive behavior as advertised in their website and brochure. She does not work with all her patients and does not like it when you address concerns that work in your best interest. Do your research on doctors before you engage with this practice to ensure you have someone working in YOUR best interest and not their own. For me, I will go back to the health entity that referred me to advise of my experience.
