Sentara Cardiology Specialists

Very concern about this practice support staff. I called this morning for a prescription on blood pressure medicine. Had not heard anything so called again at 4 and the nurse told me to go to the ER. This is the second time I have had this problem. The last time it took a week to get a prescription. This office needs an operation director very badly. The drs are good but the support staff needs patient care training. Dr Parker was great.

THE UNHELPFUL STAFF HERE WILL GIVE YOU A HEART ATTACK ! They are very unhelpful and spent most of their time on their fb via phone. Dr Eich, great doctor but since it was a first visit there is nothing that he could except gave me hope to find out why i am having chest pain. the problem is with his staff. they are not doing their job right .Dr. eich told one of the staff to schedule me for a stress test prior to my next visit but she completely ignored him. the female staff told me that there is no available schedule and that she will call me back. after 2 days i got the call and she wanted me to schedule my stress test which the doctor told her. after reminding her about it she said that she will call again.. 4 months later i got the call and still they have not scheduled me for a stress test but she wanted to schedule me with DR. Eich. i told her that i cannot do that appointment and has to be re scheduled she told me that there no other dates to see the doctor but want me to call the stress test clinic ( whatever that is) to get it done because she FAILED to do her job and now she wants me to do her job for her! These type of people do not have space in healthcare at all. Do your self a favor and find another cardiologist that has a helpful staff and will not give you a HEART ATTACK in the first place. Think of this as a friendly advice. DO NOT GO THERE!

Don't try to place a phone call to the staff at the front desk. THEY WILL NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE!!! You go there and see that they are NEVER busy but can't seem to pick up a phone they are paid to answer. The staff needs to be fired. I'm only stuck going here because the other locations are booked.

The office is poorly staffed if a technician isn't going to be available on your scheduled appointment and they have to reschedule for 2.5 months later. It sets the tone for what to expect once you're actually able to be seen.

I am rather disappointed with sentara. Am under oncologist care and had a recent ct and it showed some fluid around my heart. I have see Dr Heizer in the past and called to make followup appt for him to review recent test that my pcp ordered for me. Was told by appt scheduler I can't be seen by him til Feb 2024? Unacceptable!!! Its against their protocol for me to be seen by a different provider since I am establish with his group. I have no other choice than to be see by a PA at obicci hsp vs belle harbor location which is more convenient for me. Appt now scheduled with PA for Sept 27!! Is this just a sentara issue? Maybe they have gotten too big for their britches..just saying! Sounds like they're leaning more to socialized medicine.
