Patient
In 2003 I was admitted to Roanoke Memorial with a pancreatic meltdown. The Dr on duty was Dr. Donald Steinweg. Never having met me before I felt as if I had known him all my life. Never had I met a kinder man. For many weeks I was on life support and a ventilator. To make a long story short it was anticipated that I would not recover but with his love, compassion and knowledge I did and he care for me for the next 13 years. Yes he has retired and yes I miss him terribly. I am leaving out a part of the story. He also saved my husband's life he spent 11 months in the hospital but praise be unto God he lives. Yes because of God and an angel named Donald Steinweg. I would give all I have to have been able to hug him and say goodby!
