Patient
New patient for cardiology and also have a pacemaker new electrical heart doctor as well. Two appointments in the same place and both of them were awful. The doctors are good and knowledgeable, it's the staff front office and rn's. Both times I've dealt with them was talk to less than human and as if I'm lying. First time they tried to cancel my appointment the day of telling me I had the wrong type of doctor. The person at the front desk was awful to me for no reason on the phone, even hung up on me. After two rn's and the doctor I was seen. The nurse there was amazing and she happened to take me back today, for the electrical doctor and then they changed my settings after me asking why my battery life went so low so quick. Once I left and got out my car I started feeling chest pains severe and my muscle felt like they where being shocked on my left side my stomach and chest, every time my heart beat it felt like it was coming out my chest. I have malrotated guts is why my intestines were jumping. I called back to the same office I just left and explained what happened. She came back and said sorry the doctor and nurse said "we made no changes go to the er for help". Mind you I told her he did make adjustments. Next a nurse comes on and is very rude and condescending. She said oh we made a change and if you can come back now we will fix it today. I can't imagine going a whole day being shocked like that but they didn't care at all. They talked to me as if I did something wrong because they lied and talked to me like they did. The rn's and front staff are the ones rude. Both doctors where nice and I understand people make mistakes we all do. However there is a way to talk and deal with people instead of immediately trying to cover something up. Makes me feel I need to record all doctors appointments because a doctor may lie and not put in the notes he made changes. They told me he did have it in the notes so I don't know what happened. Professionalism is not a goal there at all. Kindness or courteous isn't either. I went for a first time appointment today and was treated like I was a problem and did something to these people. It was awful and again this is the second first time appointment being treated this way. I have vm and recordings to show what I'm saying. It makes no sense to me I just wanted new doctors mine retired and the other is too busy. I go to many other vcu offices and they are amazing front staff nurses the doctors are amazing as well. I get treated with respect as a human. Kindness goes a long way!! I was ready to call 911 today sitting in the cardiology waiting room the second time. Mind you had to drive to Stoney Point three times. Once for the appt. Once heading back then they told me to go to the er and then the last time for them to put my pacemaker back where it was, before I came in and I'm trusting they did idk. They assured me it didn't in anyway damage my heart. They sure didn't like me especially the RN of doctor Sheppard Ramos I think her name was. I hope she has a better day and doesn't treat and talk to her family that way. Prayers!!
