Patient
Dr. Krishnan has TRANSFORMED my life. I'm a female patient and ended up in Dr. Krishnan's office after frustrating attempts to be treated for some symptoms that are atypical of heart disease in men. I had a 3D CT heart scan at a radiology center (unrelated to Dr. Krishnans cardiology practice) in 2020. I was diagnosed with 3 artery blockages (70%) in a major and a bit less in 2 smaller arteries. Both of my parents died of cardiac complications. In 2020, under the age of 60 - I was advised by several other cardiologists to curtail the physical activity I had enjoyed for a lifetime (skiing and cardio). The treatment prescribed by other cardiologists was to take statin medications and not to exert my heart too much. The result for me was lethargy and depression. i begged other docs for a heart cath. I did have symptoms that were atypical of heart disease that men have. Dr. Krishnan asked questions about my condition and listened to my concerns and I think, realized what a negative toll this was taking on my physical and emotional health. Based on some of my physical symptoms, she agreed to prescribe a heart catheterization which I have been told is much more accurate than a 3D CT Scan. My heart cath. revealed a much more minor blockage than was initially diagnosed (50% as opposed to 70%). My life - that felt so limited - has blossomed. I'm back on the treadmill at a good pace and feel free to exercise much more vigorously. Dr. Krishnan is my cardiac angel!
