Dr. Gentlesk is awesome. In 2022, I was carried to Princess Anne Hospital after having palpitations I couldn't get under control. After several days in the cardiac unit, it was found I had Wolfe-Parkison White. Dr. Gentlesk took me into surgery a few weeks later (not his decision, they gave me the option to go right to Sentara Norfolk, I declined as I wanted more information.) The ablation on my accessory pathway went extremely smoothly. If I remember correctly my surgery actually went far over the normal time because he had to pinpoint the pathway from another artery. You can trust you are safe with this Doctor.

Dr G and team are Hall of Fame, exceptionally talented, kind, thoughtful, intelligent, and most professional. I was honored to be a part of a Pulsed Field ablation field study (that was recently approved by the FDA) on 2/27 Norfolk Heart Hospital to address my persistent afib. Mission accomplished!!! I am so glad I was referred to Dr. Gentlesk! He possesses encyclopedic knowledge of Afib, is an outstanding surgeon, and patiently and thoroughly answers all questions; he really cares his patients. He is only the second doctor I have met who introduces himself by his first name, connecting on a personal level with his patients.
