I can't even tell you about this place. You literally can not talk to anyone on the phone. Its all automated. You cant speake to anyone. Ive left 4 messages to try snd schedule and appointment and received zero return calls. No matter what extension you press, you have to leave a message.

Horrible phone system. Asks for information and just states "thanks for your message" and hangs up... No way to speak to live agent?

If I could give negative zero stars I would. Dr. Newby and his wife have done a major disservice for years now. I stopped being a patient once I became an adult and more importantly after my grandmother who attended annual exams with Dr. Newby went undiagnosed for stage 4 lung cancer. Every year he would tell her she was doing fine and everything looked great and she found out from another physician that that was far from true. Fast forward to my father who has been a patient for years now.....he's experienced several instances where Dr. Newby would not refer him out to a specialist. He opted to prescribe him an experimental drug for back and neck pain that he was experiencing rather than send him to a specialist. I ended up taking my father to urgent care where they referred him to an orthopedic doctor and receive the surgery he needed. Recently, I just found out from my father that Dr. Newby must an Ophthalmologist now also because he is giving him eye exams and checking him from glaucoma!!!!!! Though I try to explain to my father that Dr. Newby cannot and should not be doing this he refuses to believe he's doing anything wrong and won't attend a routine eye appointment because he believes Newby has already done it. Hopefully this review will help someone else to find another family practitioner and stay as far away this office as possible!!!!

Had issue where, during a routine physical exam, a test was performed that it turned out Medicare did not cover. I asked why was the test performed without someone informing me that I would be responsible and giving me the opportunity to declined that part of my physical. I was told that they didn't require my authorization because it was part of the physical and that I was responsible for paying what Medicare did not. After being a long time patient I felt that I was completely treated as if I was nobody and after my prescription for my high-blood, diabetes and sarcoidosis ran out I was told that they would not be filled until I pay for the exam and see the doctor again. In protest I did not pay and feel as though I should not have to seeing as how they should have informed me prior to the exam. I had been satisfied with the practice until this point. I like Dr. Newby and his wife but the staff I am utterly disgusted with how they treat patients (even long time patients). Unfortunately I now have to find a new primary care specialist. I hope these reviews help Dr. Newby find better staff members.

Absolutely the Best Healthcare Professionals are the Doctors at Primary Care Specialist. I have been a patient of Dr. James Newby for many years and have been rendered the best of service. Very blessed to entrusted my primary care needs with Primary Care Specialist!
