Sentara Cardiology Specialists

I am not sure WHAT is going on at the newport-news office but I am highly disturbed. I have been waiting on an appointment since February 2025. I had a 7 month wait to be seen. Actually its longer than that because I had the testing done December 2024 and I waited 2 months to get a callback to set the appointment. Then once I was scheduled, this is the 2nd time to my appointment has been canceled by Dr. Megan Sattler. Of course no reason was given. The first available for new patients is February 2026. So you mean to tell me I have to wait a whole year and 2 months for treatment of a heart condition?? This is totally unacceptable. Sentara Cardiology has to do better. If they cannot accommodate new patients they should close the books and not accept new patient appointments!! They simply cannot keep up with the case load.

I have two of the most awesome cardiologist EVER at this place. I feel so cared for and have the utmost assurance that I am getting the best treatment possible. I have personally never had to wait long for my appointment.

Every single time it's a long wait. I was nice and understanding every time before today. I had been waiting 3 months for this appt after having a baby because I was advised by multiple other doctors that this is a potentially life ending issue. Get there today within 15 min of my appt time to be told I need to reschedule because the Dr has to leave. Mind you that's after the office called a few weeks back to make me change my appt bc Dr Lynch had to be somewhere else. Fine ill change my appt time, no biggie. But after driving 40 min today and be told again?! No. Have better time management skills. I'll be seen elsewhere. Respect others' time and gas.

This office I really appreciate I have understanding of my condition and the nurses plus doctors even the front desk ladies are awesome. They are very well-mannered, always with a smile, the wait isn't long. My care is excellent and having heart failure at 41years oldreally changed my life because my mother does at 38years old this office really changed my life with the care. So I want to say THANK YOU to everyone in this office

So the cardiologist office is located in building two to the left of the E.R department.The front desk staff was very friendly.The nurse that helped me with my visit was great.She explained things so clearly.Great personality.I saw Dr.Megan A. Sattler.She made me feel comfortable in explaining my health issues to her.I didn't feel rushed which was great.We came up with a treatment plan that I feel will work for me.I will definitely recommend them and I will be back for as long as I need.
