Point; Don't see him unless you are a strong communicator & know what to ask. My dad was feeble by the time he came to him & this didn't have to die lie this. I would not trust him for my care. He didnt understand why they wouldn't help him- neither do I. Even with just answers, but I think more could have been done. The doctor is not bad , but more worries about humself than latienta from what Isaw. I miss my dad dearly, but I had seeing him suffering. My dad & I spoke often of his ailments. He was in heart failure. There were some issues occuring in treatment very obviousy in symptoms- he should not have beem on the meds he was on or other meds need led to be added. it was awful. There was alarming bloodwork panel that I saw the9y was ignored- showing potential organ failure (besides heart failure) that I was told was not discussed. . I kept asking my mom who has her own disease & impairments to try to get information. I was frustrated & unable to attend appointments, but he complained about not getting the care he needed. The last nite before he went to the hospital for the last time...he said "why won't they help me? I feel like hell." I said "Dad because often unless you speak up they will treat you a certain way if you are elderly or because in your case you did drink some." He also told me he loved me "I had become a good person." I am grateful for that. The Dr once made him go see anothe Dr because of his drinking. He drank to cover pain for A VERY PAINFUL ARTHITIC & also BACK SCOLIOSIS ISSUE- IF HE HAD SOME PAIN PILL AT 85 YEARS OLD THAT COULD HAVE HELPED. HE WAS SELF MEDICATING! I was so mad..NOBODY alsed.or helped him good doctors do that He had a tooth infection & IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE AN EMERGING TO GET IT OUT. NOBODY TREATED IT LIKE ONE & it os a fact tjat this can lead.to heart attscks based on certaon circumstances- he wemt.down hill fast * tje Dr did nothing MY FAMILY "ASSUMED" HE HAD DEMENTIA, THE DR DID NOTHING TO HELP HURRY THIS tooth issie UP & MY DAD WAS DEAD BEFORE HE COULD GET THE TOOTH PULLED. I think thars huge plus other poor treatment issues. None of this has to happen if he had beem treated better. He was not always in the best moods , but he felt awful. I want to explain. that I do not think this Dr is thorough with elderly patients & going the extra mile to help them out. The part that bothers me most is he.likely would have lived longer if that BLACK TOOTH had been removed. He deserved a better send off & with better care it could have happened.
